Thundering down the steps, Gregor raised his sword to the couple. Quickly, Sandor pushed Natari away from the blow and she smashed back against the rubble and stone. With her mind suddenly huzzy, she watched as the two giant men battled against each other.
Sandor had managed to take back his sword, but after a few blows from his brother, the steel sword split and left him with more of a blade than sword. As the mountain came to attack again, he quickly threw the broken sword away and pulled out his actual blade as he dodged the attacks. Natari had tried to stand back up, but she was still too huzzy and the ground was unstable from the crashing blows of fire of the dragon above. Stone was also falling from the ceiling all around them, and a large piece of rubble had barely missed Natari before she dived out of the way.
Sandor was obviously growing exhausted now as they continued to battle. The man in front of him was no longer his brother, Qyburn had changed him into a monster, both physically and visually, it was the monster Sandor had always known him to be though. Between ducks and drives from his brothers attack, he would look back at his wife. Seeing the complete fear in her eyes managed to give him the will to carry on, he knew he had no other choice now.
With a sudden rush of adrenaline through his body, Sandor found a new strength to carry on. Picking up a large and extremely heavy rock, he raised it over his head and slammed in over to his brother, resulting in his hand being crushed and the huge long sword falling from his hands. Taking his chance, he then went to slam another rock over and over into the skull of his fallen brother. For a moment it seemed like the mountain had finally cracked and fallen, but just in that moment the monster roared up from the ground and grabbed his younger brother by the neck.
Natari screamed as she watched Gregor slam him into the wall by his neck with just one hand. Sandor was completely helpless with his feet 6 inches from the floor, there was so way he could escape. Natari would not let him end like this, she would not watch the love of her life die like this, by this monster and in this city. Screaming over the clash of battle around her, she pulled herself up from the ground and reached out for Sandors broken sword of the floor. With the last of her strength she ran towards the monstrous man, leaping into the air and jumping on his back. Sandor quickly locked eyes with her and before his brother could realize what happened, Natari dug the broken sword deep into his neck. Roaring her strength through gritted teeth, she then dragged the sword across the length of his neck.
Gregor released a sound like nothing she had heard before. Slamming back from his little brother, he grabbed the small woman off his back and threw her down the steps like a rag doll. This had given Sandor a chance to free from his brother and step on the ground once again. With just a few might punches, Sandor slammed his fist into his half attached head over and over again, until finally the head of Gregor Clegane slipped off his neck and onto the floor.
Before the fact that his brother had finally died, Sandor quickly charged down the steps to Natari. She had hit her head again and this time blood had began to trickle down her face. Thankfully, she seemed to be okay though and quickly focused her eyes on Sandor. "Is it over?"
"Yes" Sandor whispered.
He cautiously helped her from the ground and then wrapped his arm around her body to help her walk down the last steps. The red keep was crumbling all around them and he knew he had to get her out of the city before their luck ran out. She wasn't about to argue with that though and held on to him tightly as they escaped the keep and reached the streets of Kings Landing.
The chaos in the streets had worsened tenfolds, everywhere they looked people ran for their lives from either the armies of both sides or the dragon that flew overhead. Bodies littered the floor; men, women and child, the god of death had come for all today.
"We have to look out for Arya" Natari yelled to him.
Sandor replied with a quick nod as he continued to drag her through the city. Most of the northern forces had either left the city or died. Lannister guards still remained, trying to help the common people reach safety as the unsullied and dothraki continued to raid the streets.
As they continued on they finally came across Arya. Natari was the first to notice her, she was almost unrecognisabke through, for the first time in years looking like the girl she was, scared and shell shocked. At her feet was the burnt bodies of a adult clingling to a child.
"Arya!" Natari screamed out, pulling away from Sandor and running towards her.
Arya didn't seem to notice her at first though, it was not until Natari cupped her face and brought their eyes level did she acknowledge her presence.
"You both made it" Arya finally managed out.
"Yes, we have to leave now though. Come with us, we'll be safe together".
"J-J-Jon, he... he left with the unsullied to the keep. The northern forces ran, but he left to go to her, after all this, he is still following her. We-we can't leave him here".
Natari sighed heavily and turned behind to Sandor. "He's my brother, she's right. I can't just leave him here. If I can find him... I know I can convince him to come back with me".
"You want to go back inside there?!" he snapped at her and pointed at the destroyed remains of the Red Keep.
"The fire can't harm me and neither will Daenarys or Jon. As far as they are concerned I'm still fighting for her. Take Arya back, find Davos and who ever is left and head to Riverrun. I will meet you all there. Arya, Arya I need you to listen carefully now, when you get back to Riverrun send a raven to Sansa, have the rest of our armies and anyone able to fight meet you there".
Sandor sighed heavily and nodded, he knew he would never be able to talk her out of recusing her brother. The only thing he could do for her now was as she asked, if it wasn't for her he would not be here afterall.
"I guess it's your turn to promise that you'll come back to me" he half smiled.
