Just the beginning

Shyla remembers all the words that were told to her the day that her father left her with her elder twin brother, younger sister and mother. They didn't like that she was born with two different colors in her hair or that her eyes were two different colors either. she was known as a 'problem' child only due to the fact that she was the only one in her family that took medication after her father left the house. She knew she had more of her father than her mother in her, it was clear as day to her. She was seven years old when her father had left her. she was now fifteen and was in the midst of a court dispute over who should have custody of her. Her mother was livid that her father was actually trying to get Shyla from her. After comparing the bank statements from both as well as income status. It was all up to shyla going up to talk about how things went with her living with her mother for the last five years.

When she went up she just slid a flash drive towards the lawyer placed the flash drive that was given to her into the computer before the lawyer played the first video which was all the video footage from the time that Shyla's mother and siblings came back the night she was forgotten. Her mother abused her for cooking and had almost burned her hand with the hot pan if she hadn't moved quick enough. After that the video that played was when she was reading in her room, her elder brother came barging into her room throwing her book across the room before raping her as she tried to get out of his grasp but he wouldn't let her go.

As her brother raped her he abused her face and pulled on her hair before leaving her on the ground after kicking her in the gut. The next video was of her sister being behind her talking to her about something then casually pushing her down the steps before laughing. the younger female then jumped down off the steps and constantly stepped on Shyla's back saying something that couldn't be heard.

Each video after that was more of the same just in different times of the day. After the tenth video the judge told her that it was enough and she was to come back to being seated. she did and took her flash drive with her. She looked to her mother first to see how livid she was, before looking at her father to see how upset and how much he just wanted to cry because of what had happened to his little girl.

Neither lawyer was told to stand up as the judge looked to Shyla. "My theory is that you wish to be with your father is that correct?"

The court favored her father over her mother and her father was given full custody of her, as well as placed a restraining order on her mother and siblings. when court was dismissed Shyla rushed up to her father and hugged him tightly, he hugged her back as he cried against her. "I'm sorry you've had to deal with that baby girl, don't worry daddy is here to save you now. Let's get your things and move you into your new home, I've so been looking forward to having you around my new apartment. I think you'd like it Shy." Her father said with a smile as he sniffled a bit

"okay dad, but shouldn't we get the police first...so we don't have to deal with Marasol and Stewart?" shyla asked

"Not a problem deary they're already on their way there. let's get going. I drove your father here so I can drive you two there not a problem." His lawyer said with a smile.
