Modern au! Just friends?

A/n: Now I was given a request by a reader and it was to do a child au! for Shoto...I will get to that but the only way I can reasonably do that is to have it out of the main plot for the anime and go from there. The Child au! will happen next chapter-this is just to set it up. Also after some thought I will be having my lovely oc Shyla have only her father's traits-meaning her black hair and so on. She will also be having Aizawa's last name from here on out. Which yes means I'll be having her be his daughter from here on out. Dunno how this is going to play out...but we'll see 

Shyla was more than depressed as she lied in bed coughing and sneezing every five to ten minutes. Even with medication her cold wasn't breaking, unlike her heart. She found out from her two room mates. Denki and Eijiro that their other room mate Shoto was going to be out for the next three days with his 'girlfriend'. Knowing that she'd be alone since the two of them were going to see their own upset her. 

There was no one who'd be there to take care of her if she was too weak to do anything herself. Shyla found herself sleeping most of the time, being too weak to do much of anything else. She lost her voice so even if she wanted she couldn't talk to anyone. Shyla felt useless and alone, as days past her birthday came up in February. She hated it and the holiday it landed on, instead of living another day she weakly made her way to the bathroom where she sat on the closed toilet seat. She grabbed the medication she hadn't taken for days and saw it was half way full. Knowing more than what she could take would probably kill her she opened it. 

Tossing the measuring cup out. As she went to drink the bottle the one person who she thought abandoned her came into the bathroom in a panic. When he saw her with the bottle close to her lips his eyes widen. "shyla what the fuck?!"

He took the bottle from her and placed it to the side before he hugged her tightly. She was too weak to push him away so she could only let him hug her as she felt grossed out. Knowing he had been around another woman who wasn't her, who probably didn't love him like she did. Sure she was jealous, but it wasn't like she could tell him that she loved him. Each time she tried he would change the subject like he was giving her hints that she was always going to be 'just friends' with him. 

When Shoto didn't feel her hug him back he looked to her sadly. "Shy...What's wrong? Why aren't you hugging me back?"

She averted her eyes. "Why aren't you still with your girlfriend?" She said just above a whisper

He blinked his eyes a few times. "Girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend. Who the fuck told you that...wait did Denki and Eijiro tell you that bull shit lie?"

She blinked her eyes a few times. "Y-You...yeah they did tell me that. So where were you?" She asked still just above a whisper

"I had to go to a family gathering. I didn't tell it to those two morons cause they wouldn't understand it. I knew you were sick so I didn't want to wake you up just for you to get worse. Speaking of the two morons where are they? Shouldn't they be here with you?" Shoto asked confused 

She shook her head sadly. "I've been here alone since the day you left. I don't know how many days it's been. I've slept for most of the time you've been out. Going in and out of consciousness." 

"I've been gone for an entire week Shy...you're telling me that you haven't eaten anything in an entire week?!"

"That'd explain why I'm so light headed and weak." shyla said weakly 

Shoto looked to her sadly. "Shy...I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have left you here on your own for so long. I should have checked up on you while I was gone. Damn those idiots for leaving you all alone in this state. I'm going to take care of you now. Don't you worry about a thing." Shoto said sincerely to her
