The next day when Shoto was watching the news he saw that the news reporter was talking about something as Shyla's picture was on the screen, he unmuted it as he listened carefully to what was said. 

"...happened to be on her own before she was attacked. Authorities say that she is currently in the hospital unconscious in critical condition due to the  five men gang that had ganged up on her last night."

Shoto's eyes widen. "Shyla...shit." 

He instantly got up and he shut the TV off before he rushed off after getting his shoes on. He rushed to the nearest hospital before asking about Shyla, when he was told her room number he went up to her room before he went into the room. He saw that she was in a body cast with a heart monitor beside her as she was breathing through a mask. He felt guilt go into him as he looked at the young raven haired woman, he had no idea why he felt guilt. He didn't know her well enough to have guilt.

It wasn't long after he had entered that the raven male he saw the previous night came into the room and punched him hard in the gut and face. "This is your fault!"

He groaned out as he looked at the male. "What do you mean it's my fault?"

"My sister shouldn't have had to be here if it wasn't for you being a total asshole! I don't give a fuck if you don't remember her, but let me give you something that might jog that damn stupid head of yours." The male said as he gave him a small book. 

Shoto looked through the books only to see baby pictures of the two of them until they were about five or six years old. Shoto then looked to the male. "We...we really knew one another?"

"You were her only friend, do you know why?"

Shoto shook his head, making the male sigh out. "Cause Shyla is rather strong and powerful, just she doesn't like her quirk one bit. She hates it with a passion, she doesn't wish to use it cause it makes her medical condition worse. Your father knew that and wanted to help her with it, but for that to happen-he needed a reason to get close to her. Hence you two's marriage to one another."

"That wasn't what I was told by Shyla last night."

"She told you what she was told, she wouldn't have agreed if she had known it had to deal with her quirk. She needs to live with you guys or my father and mother will sell her off like they did with my youngest sister Marisol. I don't want that to happen."

Shoto sighed out and shut his eyes. "I'll do what I can to help you out, but...I'm going to need to know everything I can about her."

"That's something I can help you with, just bare with me here. You're going to be in a world of confusion and 'what the fuck' knowing about her."

"It can't be that bad." Shoto said confused 

"Oh...it's bad...it's really, really bad. Let's start off by saying that first off she's my twin younger sister." The male said. "My name is Steven by the way."

"So that's why you're so protective over her."

"Mhm, I am cause she's all I got left."
