Hey guys! check out this poem one of my friends wrote. They wanted to spread the message of helping others through suicidal thoughts:

Tell me what you think!

IT WAS

It was the kid who was good at math

Who subtracted their life from Earth's equation

It was the vocalist in the choir

Who will never again harmonize with eternity's song

It was the science-smart girl who was sweet

She decided that if a sweet thing went down, it had to come back up

It was the boy who wasn't quite as fast in PE

He's never going move on his own again

It was the kid with no idea what he really felt

Who will smile at his boyfriend again

It was the girl who was at the medically perfect weight

Who thought she was to heavy for society to carry

It was the teacher who was abused every day

Who decided they weren't enough, and never will be for the students

It was the kid in the foster system

Who will never know who he is.

It was the white girl who was told she was too racist to live

Her best, closest friend was Black

It was the the sick kid who never was the same

Their meds were taken at to high a dose one night

It was the boy who didn't knock up enough girls who felt like a failure

He had simply stayed faithful to his one girlfriend and kid

It was the middle school drama queen

They will never get to act again

It was the kid who smoked their first time in third grade

Their body is a pile of contained ashes now

It was the boy who refused the alcohol

Who never with drink water again

It was the virgin girl who fought off her rapist boyfriend

Everyone called her the slut, her the player

It was the boy who was uncomfortable in crowds

He's now a part of the underground crowd

It was the girl with social anxiety

She'll never talk to her friends again

It was the boy with split parents

He split the skin on his wrists

It was. . .

It was the kid who stopped the beatings

They saved their friend's life

It was the boy who respected his teacher

He was their ray of sunshine, something to look forward to

It was the girl who packed a little extra in her lunch

Now her friend isn't malnourished

It was the boy who texted his friend

The other phone's ping prevented the looped belt

It was the kid who supported their queer friend

They both have found a functioning relationship

It was the girl who smiled at the lone new kid

That was the act that comforted them

It was the girl who followed another crying girl into the bathroom

Pills were never swallowed, they belonged in the trash anyway

It was the boy who paused his video game to live in the real world

He saw that his siblings needed just a little homework help

It was the girl who opened the door even on the latest of nights

Now her friend can sleep somewhere safe from their Parents screaming

It was . . .

Will you be the kid who stops or supports the suicides?

It was . . .
