Chapter 22: Back to LA

The car ride back to the hotel was quieter than ever - and very awkward. Mahogany dragged me into our room to let the guys have a break from all the drama. "Is it my fault?" I whined against the wall. "No, it's Taylor's.", she tried to reassure me, placing her hands on both my shoulders. "Just give him a day."

"Another full day?" my jaw dropped slightly. "Yes, just...let it sink in to him."

I sighed, "Fineee."

"In the mean time, we gotta pack." Mahogany raised her eyebrows throwing her bags on the bed. It might not seem that bad, but for me on the inside, I felt like everything had gone wrong in the past few days. Again.

Around ten o'clock Taylor made his way into our room, which caused Mahogany to look at me nervously once he closed the door. "I'll uh...", she mumbled getting up. "Go wash your hair again?" I giggled finishing her sentence.

"No, um..just, bye." she gave us an awkward smile and darted out of the door. "What's up?" I asked shifting myself to face Taylor on the edge of my bed once he sat next to me.

"I wanted to say I'm sorry." he muttered under his breath. "Taylor? Saying sorry, who made you?" I giggled. "Nash, well almost everyone, but-" "You don't have to be sorry." I cut him off, "I'm sorry."

"But you didn't do anything wrong." he looked into my eyes. "Well, I feel bad anyway."

"I just thought you'd go for someone closer to age with you. I mean think about it, you guys are four years apart.", his voice was low, almost a whisper. "That's true..." I sighed never realizing the age difference. I always thought of Cameron as Cameron, not an age, just a best friend that I got feelings for.

"But go ahead and tell me age doesn't matter.", he rolled his eyes. I sighed putting my hand on his right shoulder, "Age doesn't matter." Taylor's eyes shot up to mine with anger in them, I giggled. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding."

Next Day At Airport

I guess things were finally better between Taylor and I once we worked them out last night. But saying goodbye for two weeks was extremely hard. It'd be the longest time between events. I hugged all the boys tightly not wanting to leave, but we had to.

Of course the paparazzi was all up in our faces, so boarding the plane back home to LA was almost a safety exit from the claustrophobic mess. Even though I just met these guys a couple weeks ago, i've become extremely close to all of them.

I stared out the window on the plane for a good amount of time thinking. What Taylor said kind of made me wonder, Cam and I are four years apart. I didn't even know if that was legal, but I mean, I guess it is. Right?

"Cam?", I sighed looking at him next to me, "Do you know any other couples that are somewhat big in age difference?" He furrowed his eyebrows a bit, "Um...I know Lia and JC are six years apart." My eyes widened, six years? Well okay, then I guess we're fine.

I've seen Lia's covers on YouTube, and I've watched a few of JC's video's too, so they weren't complete nobody's in my head. "You okay?", Cam asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh, yeah." I mumbled.

"What is it?", he sat back in the seat, placing his hand on my right knee. "I don't know. I'm kind of stressed.", I sighed. "Aw, about what?" "Don't take this the wrong way, but about us.", I whispered. Cam's face went blank with worry.

Cameron's POV:

"Don't take this the wrong way, but about us.", Lex whispered looking into my eyes. I felt my stomach drop. Did she not like us dating? Did I pressure her into it? No, she said she liked me too. "About the fans finding out, paparazzi knowing, the age difference. Even my dad Cameron. I'm gonna have to tell my parents.", she continued.

Shit. I totally forgot about telling her parents.

Dad's are always protective - or at least in movies and stuff.

"We'll take everything one step at a time, alright?", I tried to say as calmly as possible. Lex barely nodded. I knew she was nervous, but I wouldn't blame her. A ton of hate and confussion was heading straight for us.

The plane landed and we made our way to my car I left here a couple days ago. I drove us to Lexee's house, pulling into her driveway. "Thanks for driving me.", she smiled holding onto her suitcase. "No problem, babe.", I smiled kissing her forehead.

"Stop being all mushy gushy, and get in the car, Cam.", Nash groaned sliding into the passengers seat. "Eager for something?", I questioned looking in the window at him. "Yes. I'm fucking starved.", Nash groaned putting his hands out to emphasize his words.

I chuckled, "Let me just get Lex inside."

"Cam, I can open my own door.", Lex said behind me.

"Just wanted to be a cute boyfriend." I grinned looking down at her. "You're already cute enough.", she replied.

"Ugh, and they're at it again. You know what? I'm just gonna drive. It's only ten minutes.", Nash teased, talking to himself.

I said goodbye to Lex, kissing her, and drove back to Nash and I's apartment.

Lex's POV:

I shoved my suitcases in my room not even wanting to bother unpacking them. I decided to pop some popcorn and watch a movie, waiting for my parents to come home. *buzz buzz* - my phone vibrated on the kitchen counter.

Incoming call from Cameron♥

I smiled and put him on speaker. "It's been what, nine minutes and you're already calling me?", I giggled. " "I missed you.", I heard him smile through the line. There was a groan in the background.

"What the hell was that?", I laughed turning on the tv. "Nash is still hungry. We're waiting for the pizza rolls to be done." "Damn, get the boy some food.", I laughed once again, earning a chuckle from Cam. "What are you doing?"

"Watching tv, eating popcorn..", my voice trailed off. "With no one to cuddle up to?", Cam asked making butterflies erupt in my stomach.

Can we just...asjgkspwkdl.

"You can come over whenever.", I replied.

"I'll be up for that offer.", there was a smirk in his voice.
