Chapter 6: The unexpected

I opened my eyes to Mahogany shaking me awake. "Get up Lex! You have to get ready!" she started laughing. I checked my phone. "Really? I had one more minute left of sleep. You owe me." I grinned rolling off my bed. I did my hair in lose curls and my makeup was the usual, bb cream, bronzer, mascara, and lip gloss. Today for my outfit I wore my light washed skinny jeans, and a white tank top that made my figure look absolutely flawless.

I took my black obey sweatshirt with me incase I got cold inside. Mahogany took my arm and pulled me outside into the hallway. "Ayeee." The boys said since I was the last to get out there. I laughed still feeling kinda awkward from last night. "Let's go!" Carter said walking into the elevator.

We stood in silence as we went down to the lobby. "I'm sorry if I overreacted last night." I said staring down at my feet. "You don't have to be sorry about anything." Jack G said. They all gave me a big group hug until the elevator opened. I was towards the back of our group with Cameron and Matt when I heard a few older guys say "Lexee, Lexee over here! Do you have any thing to say about becoming one with the Magcon Family?" Continuous photos were snapped of us.

I put my sweatshirt on and tried to hide with the hood over my head. Matt guided me with his hand on my back, while I held onto to Cameron's arm. We made it outside and into the limo. I slid in first with the rest of the guys following after me. "I can't believe someone told the press which hotel you were at." Aaron said pissed off. "I doubt it was one specific person. The paparazzi probably just found out by looking a pictures." I said taking my phone out.

Backstage at magcon, we were about to walk out to get the event started. "You ready?" They all asked me. I nodded nervously hoping the crowd wouldn't overreact to them finding out who I really was. We walked out next to the stage and they called our names one by one. After Nash, it was my turn. "Last but not least, your model, singer, tumblr girl, annnd...actress, give it up for Lexee Brooks!"

I ran down the line of fans. I heard people realizing that I was an actress and they kind of freaked out. Towards the end of the line I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. I thought someone was just hugging me, that is until I felt them pick me up and pull me over the gate. I screamed a little (not too piercing, don't worry;)) and the security guards ran to help me.

It was a guy that pulled me over. Some of the fans helped me get away from his grip around me. "Um alright...let's uh, get started with the show..." The announcer said looking over at the caseous that just happened. "Thank you." I said breathlessly at the security guards. Cameron came running over to me as I walked up the steps to the stage. "What the hell was that? You okay?" he asked.

I laughed. "I have no idea, but I'm fine." The event began after that guy was kicked out of the place. We did our regular silly things and the meet & greet part. "We have questions!" some girls yelled. "Uh alright, looks like we're gonna take some questions." Nash said.
About five minutes later we already went through a ton of random questions.

"I have one for Lexee. So I saw on a magazine you and Cameron getting chased by fans. When was that?" a girl about thirteen asked me. Cameron laughed a little. "That was actually the day I became apart of magcon. Yeah, I went to Starbucks and then I was fixing the lid and I accidentally ran into cam-"

Cameron: "She spilled coffee on me." he pretended to be mad. Girls giggled at that.

"Yeah sorry.." I scrunched up my nose. "But then we were chased by fans back to my car and...yeah." I laughed remembering that day.

After we took a lot of questions the guys cleared off the stage leaving me and Shawn standing up there. We grabbed two stools and the microphone stand. He rested his guitar on his leg and I asked the fans "You guys like Sweater Weather?" an uproar came from the room. Shawn laughed and we began the song.

~back at the hotel

Mahogany and I went into our room and sat down on our beds. "Wasn't today fun? Crazy fans pulling you over the gate." she lifted her eyebrows. "I know, great way to remember day two." we laughed. "Wanna get the guys together and film a video or something?" I asked her. "Yeah sure, I'll go bring 'em in."

"What's up lex?" Cam asked as all the guy came in behind him. "Do you wanna all film a video or go somewhere?" I asked. "Let's film vines." Nash offered. "Okay." We agreed. We all got out our phones and thought of funny things we could do.

About an hour later I told them I was gonna go out and get some Starbucks to keep me up for the all-nighter we were pulling. "Alright." the guys said standing up. "No, I'm fine. Really." I said opening the door. "I have a hoodie, sunglasses, and security on speed-dial." I tried to reassure them. "Fine, just call us." Cam said. "Alright..." I said walking out the door.

I made it to Starbucks without getting seen. I took down my hood and ordered a vanilla bean frappucino. I put the straw through my coffee lid and walked out with my hoodie back on. Yes, I walked to Starbucks, but it's only like five minutes away. I looked across the street and saw the paparazzi. "Lexee!" they yelled and ran over to me. I took off my sunglasses and hoodie. I just didn't care anymore.

"Do you like being apart of magcon?" One of them asked. "Yeah it's a ton of fun, and the guys make me feel like family." I said. My phone vibrated in my back pocket. "Oh hold on let me take this." It was cameron. "Hey." I said. "Just checking up on yo-do I hear cameras?" he asked. "Yeah, but I'm almost back." "Lex..." he sighed. "Cam I'm fine."

People were walking past me taking second looks trying to figure out who I was. I signed an autograph or two on the way back to the hotel too. "Alright thanks Lexee." The paparazzi said. I waved behind me as I walked into the hotel. Fans crowded me as I walked towards the elevator.

I walked down our hallway and into my room. "I'm baaack!" I sang while biting my coffee straw. "What did you get into?" Shawn asked me. I laughed, "Just the usual." I sat down on my bed. "Aw you guys look so cute." Mahogany said. She pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of me sitting in the middle of the guys sipping my coffee.

Through out the night we were so loud. But good thing our hallway was all to ourselves. Matt fell asleep cuddled with my pillow on mahogany's bed. "Guys lets get him!" Cam said. We got a bowl of icing from the front desk and vined the whole thing. Jack J and Carter smacked Matt's face with the icing. He woke up alarmed looking so cute.

We posted it to vine and it got millions of views.
