lexee's point of view:

i woke up the next morning with the text notification going off. i squinted my eyes through the sun coming through my window as i reached for my phone. it was a text from nash.

from nash//  morning, how'd you sleep?

lexee// you woke me up.

from nash// oh..oops

from nash again// how do you feel this morning?

lexee// exhausted from crying my eyes out yesterday. oh and my head is pounding. how about you, lover boy?

from nash// alright. cam and i got in a fight last night.

i propped myself up on my elbows once i read that he and cam got into a fight.

lexee// about what?

from nash// i told him that you knew about bart and stuff. but um lex? dont go on twitter.  the hate is fucking insane.

lexee// i logged out so dont worry.

i slowly rolled out of my bed so i could start off my day, even though i would much rather be happy just sleeping all day. "good morning lexee." my mom smiled down at the pancakes she was making as i walked down the stairs.

"you're home already?" i questioned, stuffing my hands in my grey sweatpant pockets.

"yeah, headquarters only needed us for a day." she smiled again before turning back to look at me.

"you're eyes are all puffy.", she frowned, "have you been crying?"

"no? i-i dont remember crying so ... no?" i stumbled on my words sounding stupid as can be.

"oh no." she said quietly looking at me, shfiting wait to her right leg.

"what?" my eyes went wide.

"you're high. you dont remember if you cried because you were drunk last night. lexee, where were you?"

my eyebrows dropped in confusion. i was expecting something like 'aw honey, is there guy drama?" 'are you and heidi okay?' 'cramps?' but no, it was 'you're high'

wow mom, thanks.

"what? no!" i started to laugh.

"oh good." she smiled, turning back around to the pancakes.

"im just stressed i guess. oh yeah," i went to get the papers from school that were in my purse, but it wasnt by the door.

"um, hold on." i mumbled, running up the stairs and into my room. but my purse wasnt there either.

where could it be? i thought to myself as i looked in my closet. but then it hit me, i must have left it at the cabin yesterday.

i quickly threw on some clean clothes, grabbing my phone and running back downstairs.

"i'll be right back, mom!" i yelled, opening the front door and running towards my car.

i drove off to the area of the woods that the cabin is in, putting the car in park once i drove up to it.

i locked the car and began to walk towards the front door. opening it, my eyes scanned for my purse finding it laying on the couch.

i smiled walking over to it, but a creek outside made my heart pound a little faster. my head spun over to the right where the sliding glass door leads out to the porch. i quickly grabbed what i thought was pepper spray in my bag before slowly walking over to the door.
