I was walking in the woods, off to Leah's cabin. I wanted to tell her how I felt for so long, but never had the courage to. For some reason though, I felt extremely lucky today. I ate something called a Lucky Lunch but...That probably has nothing to do with it!

Me and Leah have been friends for so long! I've always had an admiration for her. The fact that she can live out in the wilderness with only her cabin and the grown foods to keep her alive amazes me. I also have an extreme admiration for her art pieces.

I was on my way to Leah's cabin. I brought a bouquet to seal the deal if we were actually getting together, and I also made sure to actually take a bath so I smelled nice! ((The fact that there are no bathrooms or showers staggers me...))

I reached Leah's cabin and hesitated. What if she said no? What if she lets me down? What if I'm going to grow a reputation as the sad, lousy farmer that lives on their own with no one to comfort in a time of need? While I was busy thinking about this, I heard voices on the inside. I could not tell if it was a male or a female, but I could hear Leah.

"You are coming back to the city with me, whether you like it or not!" The strange voice said.

"No I'm not! You do realise that we are not together anymore!" Leah said in response.

She used to date someone?  Why hasn't she told me about that until now!

"I just want you back! I've been so lonely in the city! I've been so alone..." The strange voice said.

"That's your fault you do realise..." Leah scolded back.

"I know, I know. It's just that I haven't been myself! I've been a mess! My whole life is nothing without you! Please...just...Give me another chance. Give US another chance..."

". . .I will think about it. . ." Leah responded.

"Oh thank you! If it's ok, can you decide by Friday? It will give you plenty of time, since it's Monday." The strange voice pleaded.

"I-I guess that's fine..." Leah responds.

"Wonderful! I'll see you on Friday my muffin!!!" The voice says with joy.

Quick! I needed to hide somewhere. I ran to the side of the left(Readers facing left) and hoped that they would not find me. I heard the door open and them walk away. I also heard Leah sighing on the inside, and crying a little bit. Man, these walls are VERY thin.

I walked inside to see Leah. She had her head in her arms as she was letting out very soft sobs. I walked over to her and sat down next to her. She didn't even notice me until I sat down.

"(Y-Y/N)!!! W-what are you doing here?!?" She exclaims.

"Well...I was coming over, and heard everything..." I told.

She put her hands over her face.

"I'm so so so so sorry you had to hear that...I just, I want to say no..I'm just scared at how she'll react." Leah responds.

"It's okay...It's gonna be okay...You just do what you think is right, and if she really loved you, she would understand your decision." I said comfortley.

Leah sniffs and wipes her tears away.

"Y-You're right. I need to make this right...for the both of us..." Leah said as she stood up.

"That's the spirit! I'm going to accompany you secretly if that's alright..." I asked.

"Why would you want to accompany me?" Leah asks back.

"EHHHH no reason!" I answer.

"Well...ok then..." Leah responds.

TIME SKIP TIME-It's Friday. I ran over to Leah's house early in the morning to discuss our plan. I would be hiding in the bushes and only act if things start to get physical. Like that would happen!

We were walking over to the bus. Leah went without a suitcase, so that said pretty much everything. I hid in the bushes, and we waited. A few minutes later, the bus pulls up and the person gets out. For some reason, their face is REALLY blurry to me. I could not make out their gender!

"Alrighty then, this is your stop!" Pam exclaims.

The person steps out and greets Leah. I could hear everyword.

"So, have you decided?" The person asks.

"Yes I have. I'm staying in Stardew Valley!" Leah announces.

There was silence. VERY. AWKWARD. SILENCE. It was so intense that it almost closed up my throat. Don't ask why.

"Oh...that's a darn shame..." The person said. Suddenly, I heard something. A click. As in a click that someone would do to LOAD A GUN. I peeked through the bushes to see that the person was holding a gun towards Leah.

"Well well well. I actually thought that you would come with me. Probably because of that kid in the bushes over there." They explain.

Darn. Was I really that bad at hiding?

"I probably would've killed you anyway!" The person laughs.

I looked over at Pam to see if she would have any help, but she was just clenching her heart and looked speechless. She didn't dare move.

"Wh-what's the meaning of this!!!" Leah asks.

"Awww~ you want to know before you die? Well, I was tired of living alone. When you left, it literally made me physically insane! I spent weeks in a psychological department, but they could not fix me. THIS is the only thing that will fix me! THIS ENDS HERE!!!" They yell.

I knew she was about to pull the trigger. I had to do something. I ran towards them, and darted in front of Leah. The gun fired, and I looked to my side to see a bullet hole straight through my shoulder. Everything went black. I heard people screaming my name, (Y/N)!!! I soon then fainted.

I woke up in the hospital. I was in a bed, weak and in pain. I looked up to see Dr. Harvey looking down at me.

"Well, this is an utmost miracle!" Harvey exclaims.

I stood silent. I had no energy to respond, "why?"

"I'm guessing you're wondering why. You lost so much blood that it would be a miracle if you actually lived through it. Good thing you did though!" Harvey said as he was scribbling stuff on his paper.

I thought of something. I could not say it though, for I was too weak. I looked over at my bag that was laying on a chair. Harvey looked over at it.

"Hmm? Do you need anything?" Harvey asked.

I nudged my eyes over to it to signal that I needed it. He walked over and picked up the bag. He searched around inside and pulled out random things, until he got to the bouquet.

"Oh! Wh-Oh...I think I see...Well, who's it for?" Harvey asked.

I managed to pull out one word. The word that meant everything to me. The word that warmed me in the blanket of darkness. The word that changed my life...

"Leah"

The end!!!
