Uraraka lifts her head up from the ground her body heavy, her vision blurry. She looks around examining her position only to see everyone else on the floor too. She wills her legs to move but they stay on the floor disobeying her command. A shooting pain envelopes her right arm. Large chunks of glass in her skin. Blood trickles down the glass reflecting off it for an oddly beautiful injury.
Her eyes dart from side to side desperate for help. Everyone else lay on the floor still unconscious.
Sounds of heels clicking against the concrete floor gets her attention. Uraraka puts up her hand in some sort of defense forgetting. About having quirks all together the pain overwhelming.
Toga looms over Uraraka's limp body. Giggles escape her open mouth, "Lookie here." She ducks down closer to her wound. Running her tongue along the lining of the glass, she licks the blood from it before giggling in pleasure. "Does it hurt?"
"What's it...to you, villain?" She spoke with as much confidence as she could muster. The pain becoming increasingly unbearable.
Her lips creep towards Uraraka's ear as she whispers. "That's all I needed to hear." Toga grabs her, pulling her to her feet.
"Lets go for a walk. Shall we? Shigaraki's starting to take care of everyone outside-" she looks back to the other unconscious students "-and it seems they're taken care of already."
Like I'd willingly walk along with a villain. She's crazier than before. Uraraka thought but her feet had something different in mind.
She had begun to walk in jagged motions behind Toga, her arms clasped to her side. She tries to open her mouth to speak but finds her lips are forced shut.
She's been completely taken over.
Toga laughs opening the large door to the outside, "Oh I love this new quirk! I can make anyone do anything I want! It's what I've always wanted!" She shouts bursting into uncontrollable giggles.
Toga walks out the door, Uraraka trailing rigidly behind.
...
Bakugo sits up still on the floor putting his hand to his head. A smoky smell filling his nose. He holds his breath trying to not to inhale the fumes but asks aloud, "What the hell was that and what's on fire?" He looks to the side for something or more certainly someone, "Uraraka, did you set something on fire?"
He calls out her name again but she's no where to be found. A distant scream wakes up more of the previously unconscious students. He stands. His head pounding as he glares at his hero team on the floor, "What happened?"
His eyes go up to the ceiling, realizing it too is on fire. The flames inch closer to the disheveled teens. Kirishima looks up just in time for a piece of the building to fall from the ceiling onto the floor. It impacts close to him and the other. He slides away from it before it can hit him, "Well whatever it was doesn't matter."
"I'm more frazzled than after I use my quirk. I think we should leave." Kaminari chimes in, "Wait? Where's Uraraka?" His eyes follow to Bakugo as he stands.
Bakugo's eyes fill with anger as he tightens his fists, "Why the hell would I know?"
"She was with you last. Wasn't she?"
"For the stupid exercise not any other reason. She was needed for the plan to work. That's it!" He had turned his head away by now. Facing towards the door. More sounds of a catastrophe travel between the cracks in the building and ceiling.
Another chunk of concrete pounds to the floor coming exceedingly close to Tsu. She puts her finger to her lower lip in thought, "Guys I think we need to take Kaminari's advice for once and get out of here." She glances at the door as more sounds come from outside, "We shouldn't inhale anymore fumes and the buildings still burning down."
A smile creeps over Kaminari's lips, "Thanks for that Tsu. Wait, what do you mean 'for once'. You should always take my advice."
"We'll take your advice when the world ends." Jiro says.
Kirishima stands and with rather large hand movements gestures with his hands for everyone to get up, "Everyone needs to get up on their feet. We don't know what's going on outside but I don't want anyone to get crushed by falling rocks."
"Who said you get to be leader?" Bakugo shouts.
"The people who are clearly scared and not taking action." He opens the door for everyone to exit. Luckily no one was seriously injured other than Kaminari who had badly sprained his ankle and Hagakure who was scratched up a bit but other wise untouched.
Outside was utter chaos. Blue flames were swirling around students as vines whipped them into place. Teachers were almost no where in sight. The first thought to cross the kids minds was that perhaps some students new quirks had gotten out of hand. But the more that they looked at the damage being done they realized it could only be one thing: a villain attack. They had struck at the worst time yet for them it would be the best. Everyone, even the teachers, would be utterly defenseless. Even if students tried to fight back they had no idea what they were doing. All their lost powerful classmates had been slammed down to the bottom in a moment quicker than a flash leaving clueless replacements in their places. It was horrendous.
"Where's All Might?" Hagakure asks craning her neck to get a better study of the destruction, her voice low.
Bakugo scoffs but the underlying fear could be heard behind his voice. It was faint, but there nonetheless, "Like All Might could do anything. He's got some new quirk he's got no idea how to use just like the rest of us. Unless that is you forgot we're all useless." He tightens his grip on his palms looking down at them in anger and disappointment, "Cause if we did, I'd pummel these guys into the ground quicker than you could even call the number one hero."
"What do we do?" Aoayama questions.
Before anyone could work up the courage to answer or even think about moving from their paralyzed state, a villain finally catches onto their presence.
His chapped lips turn upwards into a crooked smile as he raises his hand. A blue flame enveloping Shigaraki's skin.
Authors Note: So I know there's a handful of people who read this story and I just wanted to apologize to you for not updating. I've had a bad week and writers block at the same time so it only felt fair to make it 1000 words. Don't worry summers around and I'll be posting 'regularly' now. Not that anyone's gonna read this anyway. Also...wonder who got Shigaraki's quirk? Hmm... 🤔 I mean as the author I clearly don't know.
