BNHA Quirk Switches

The two turn around to see students from class 1-B. Monoma and Kendo to be exact. He was the one who had talked about not expecting to see either of them there.

"We were just down here trying to help," Kendo says when the silence lays thick in the air. 

"Have either of you seen Todoroki from our class?" Deku asks wanting to get straight to the point. There isn't any time to dwell on small talk when his friends' life could hang in danger. 

Monoma stays silent throughout the entire ordeal. This was normal to him anyway since switching quirks is his quirk. The territory is nowhere near new for him and Mina was feeling more inferior by the minute, imagining how unfazed he was by the second. Kendo shakes her head apologizing for not knowing where their classmate could be. Deku swears under his breath not knowing what to do now. He needs to find Todoroki before something bad happens unless something bad has already happened and now he was slowly dying somewhere. He shakes that thought from his head trying to stay positive. Mina could sense his confidence failing him as the time goes on. 

"Do the two of you think you could help us?" Mina asks stepping in front of Deku to take a stand. 

This time Monoma does bud into their conversation without any remorse for being what others would call disrespectful, "Why would our class help yours? We're in a rivalry safer all." He has that dumb smirk across his face like always. It was just as annoying as it was the last time he used it and the time before that. 

"Monoma..." Mina starts, "we're in the same school trying to be successful like everyone else. If it was anyone in your class Deku and I wouldn't hesitate to help you out."

"That's your own fault. We shouldn't rely on each other at all."

"You're being unreasonable. Why can't we just be friends? Kendo's close with everyone else in our class so why can't you."

Kendo buds into the conversation blocking out whatever it was that her classmate Monoma was about to say, "I'll help you look for him. I'm sure he can't be too far from here."

Monoma gaps his mouth in amusement and shock. He knows that Kendo values friendship above success but he doesn't think that she'd go this above and beyond to prove her point. He starts to go on and on about how they're in some rivalry that can't be stopped just because she thinks that everyone should be all lovey-dovey with each other. He doesn't stop until Kendo yells at him at the top of her lungs. She has to deal with him everyday and she's been nearing her wit's end for a while but today the trail has finally ended. They were all in the same boat when it came to the attack on the school. The villains want all of them dead and they all need to protect their school since it's where they live and where they would prosper. It's impossible for Kendo to understand how Monoma could keep his dumb rivalry ideas. It really makes her question why they were friends in the first place. It seems one-sided to her anyway. Monoma stops talking knowing that, in his opinion, he'd not gone too far but on for too long. No one wants to hear some mania ramble on and on about something no one cares about in the middle of the Criss.

The students can still hear the banging of the nomu outside the school door that they'd smashed rubble against. The crisis is now were under control since there were so many attacks all over the city. Of course, UA is a place of interest but the police and other heroes can only arrive so fast. Not to mention the fact that they're having to get used to their own new quicks while keeping the public safe. Mina, Deku, and Kendo decide their best course of action is to leave Monoma on his own since he still refuses to help them. The three race down the hall searching every classroom left and right on their way to see recovery girl. He has to be in there at the very least.
