BNHA Quirk Switches

Mina, Deku, and Tokoyami search through the woods for Todorki. He hadn't come back like he said he would. He told the observation group that he was leaving the chaos there to go help outside and even look for help. People offered to come but he declined saying he would be fine. He wanted to get the message that they were okay to the other group as well. But he wasn't back yet. The three heroes in training stalk through the chaotic halls. Some students had raced home while others stayed and fought. Most of the villains were outside attacking students there but that didn't mean that there weren't villains in the hall.

The three are on their guard ready for anything. They run into a couple of students and point in the direction of a safer spot. They get outside of the school and there's more fire. More chaos. Mina suggest she strip to have more cover but the boys tell her it's okay. She was ready to at any moment though.

They all book it to the forest. The first place Todoroki could be. It was a discreet way to get to the training area. They keep their distance from each other still keeping up their guards. There's a rustling in the bushes that catches all of their attention. Mina whispers if she should strip now. Deku nods to her. He feels useless at the moment. His hair wasn't special at all. It could be tied easily and break under a lot of force. It's just good as rope and takes a minute to make anyway. Tokoyami is the only one who could do some serious damage. He's obtained Kaminri's quirk but is still scared to use it. He doesn't know how far it can go nor the amount of voltage it uses. It was also only a one shot so using it immediately wasn't the best strategy.

"Who's there?" Deku asks, hoping its an uninjured Todoroki. The two were close and he'd feel bad if anything happened to him.

There's no response but a branch is thrown near Deku but Tokoyami is able to snatch him out of the way. Mina throws out her hand like she used to do to get a stream of acid before cursing out loud at herself.

"I hate hate hate hate that I can't use my acid." She almost shouts.

A nomu appears from the denser woods that almost no one goes into. It's eyes bulge. It's beak snapping at the three of them. Tokoyami swears. Mina freezes before trying to sneak off to the side to get out of the line of sight. The nomu's attention diverts to Deku who was trying very hard not to be noticed but to no avail. What could he do? He feels useless without his quirk. His punches would be useless against a monster this large. But his mind wanders to when he saved Bakugo without a quirk. He was petrified then and is now but the fear shouldn't hold him back. He's going to be a hero and heroes fight for the people around them. He could at least guide Tokoyami and Mina.

He has an idea. Not the best but it was something.

"Mina lead the nomu away from us out in the forest. Make sure we can catch up."

Mina, who has already stripped in a hurry, nods. She screams taunts at the nomu to get its attention. It's head cocks to her in an abnormal way. It starts to give chase. Mina bolts through the dense and lush forest. The nomu picking up speed. It slashes at Mina who barely dodges the attacks. It's not like it can see her but it can definitely see the imprints she leaves in the ground and the vines she unsettles.

Deku tells Tokoyami the plan and that they only have one shot with his quirk. They start running after Mina attempting to get ahead. All the while Deku's pulling out strands of his hair to make it into a long rope. The strands grow back almost instantaneously and could be tied together without worry. The two get a long length of rope which couldn't be better timing. They were just getting ahead of the nomu.

Deku tosses one end of the string to Tokoyami. He races to the side as far as the string will go. The nomu close to it.

They pull it as hard as they can. The strands keep together well and don't snap or fall apart. Mina sees the trap and jumps over it in the nick of time. The nomu trips over the strands of dull hair crashing into the floor. It goes to get up but Deku is already gesturing the que to Tokoyami.

He sends an electric shockwave straight to the nomus body rendering it incapacitated for the moment. Deku grabs a dazed Tokoyami and an invisible Mina and race through the forest still looking for Todoroki. Another win for the heroes in training.
