Dante and I walked through the woods, following a trail near us to the other half. Rocky steadily followed a while behind us. They had roads connecting everything, and they seemed to have a main stronghold down near the other end of the lake. It was swarmed with large buildings, docks and was surrounded in these giant concrete walls.

It was night, and the city glowed in the distance. They had these large towers along the trails, every tower had two to three soldiers all armed.

We stayed off the trails at all costs, not because of the towers, but because of the constant herds of blue dyed zombies, they were almost acting like a patrol unit. Kiera was right to only send two of us, too many and we would've been spotted for sure.

I grabbed the night vision binoculars from my bag and zoomed in to these large pits they had just outside the city.

"Just as I thought" I mumbled looking at the large pits. The pits were filled with hundreds of the undead, and they were covering them in these blue liquids.

"Is it like the Dead Farms?" Dante whispered.

"Worse" I replied. "These ones are organized"

"What do you think is their training method?" Dante asked. "Cutting out their teeth? Feeding them? Or is it like training a wild animal, it just requires a lot of commitment." Dante smiled.

I shrugged.

"It's getting late, we should set up camp" I spoke.

...

We found this little cave far away from the cities, patrols and guards. We waited for three hours before making sure it was clear. Finally we made our way inside, and sealed the cave the best we could with the natural overgrowth nearby. Then we lit a small fire.

Dante unpacked a sleeping bag and placed it on the cave floor, he sat down on it and started picking at the fire. I sat down on his lap and held my arms around his neck.

"This isn't too forward is it?" I asked.

Dante smiled. "Not at all Miss"

I shook my head slightly. "Don't call me miss" I laughed. "It makes me sound old"

Dante nodded he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Well if you are old, you aged well" Dante kissed me gently, as if he was shy.

"It's okay" I whispered kissing him back, harder this time, more rough.

I sat directly on him, and started kissing him faster, barely breathing as I ran my hands through his hair.

"I was kinda hoping our first time together again would be in a better location" Dante grumbled.

I pushed him down onto the cave floor, and crawled ontop of him.

"You take what you can get Mr. Hanson" I replied

...

I woke up to a mosquito landing on my face, and out of instinct my slapping it and slapping myself awake.

I looked around the cave, I was nearly naked underneath this sleeping bag, and I noticed that Dante wasn't here. I fell asleep in his arms last night, for the first time ever as far as I can remember.

Rocky was still asleep in his corner naturally, bears do sleep a lot after all.

I got up and got dressed, while I did so I noticed that the overgrowth we used to cover the entrance was open, and some of Dante's things were missing. He must've went to get firewood, or perhaps to hunt.
