My Forever (Harry Styles)

She will be mine!

   I opened the door quietly and smoothly. Hoping not to announce that I was back inside quite yet. I needed more time to think of how to explain things to Kaidyn. And I also think that she needed a bit more time alone.

        

        I saw her on the couch, knees to her chest  and head in her hands. My poor best friend felt betrayed. I had to make things right with her. She needs to understand the whole story. I can't risk losing her trust over something so small and stupid. I just met the boy yesterday.

        "Kaidyn?" I asked softly as I walked slowly into the living room. She popped her head up at the sound of her name. "Just leave me alone Ariel. I can't believe you right now." She told me with anger in her voice. "If you'll just let me explain..." I tried getting out before I was cut off. "No! I don't need any excuses. I knew something was up with you. Seeing you all smiley like you were. And believe me, I was so happy to see you smiling like that again." She confessed. I stood there in silence not sure of what to say.

        She patted the spot next to her, beckoning for me to come sit next to her. I walked over to her slowly and took the spot next to her. "He came onto me." I started to confess. "And... I kind of liked it. I liked the way it made me feel. I haven't had those feelings in a long time. But I don't even know the guy." I confessed.

        "Yeah, I understand Ariel. I've felt that way too." She put her arm around me, and looked at me with caring eyes. "I just don't wanna see you go through what you did in high school. That was hard on me too. I love you so much honey and I don't wanna see my best friend getting hurt." She continued.

        I smiled at her, and my eyes were starting to get wet again. I couldn't help it. I lost it  again. She brought me into a big bear hug. "I won't stop you this time though. I think it's time for you to fall in love again. Fall even harder than you did before! Live your life babe. We're only getting older and dying every second that ticks by. Live in the now and let your heart race on. I'll always be here for you when life gets tough." She told me.

        I was shocked at what she had to say. I was again, speechless. All I could get out was a smile and an I love you.

        "Well it's still the middle of the day. What do you wanna do?" She asked me. The only thing on my mind right now was Harry. And having the time of our lives living in LA with my best friend. "Maybe you should call Harry. And tell him to bring his cute friend Liam along." She winked at me.

        I loved that Kaidyn forgave me and understood so quickly. But I still don't know if I can let myself fall for someone like Harry. He even told me himself that all he's done is use girls for the past few years. How do I know he's not just trying to get into my pants? I'm gonna take this slow. Get to know him and see if I really truly like him. He's got the looks down.

        I went to my contact list to find "Curly head cutie" in my contacts. I grinned down at the name knowing it was Harry. I clicked on his name and it started ringing. It rang once before I heard that sweet deep raspy voice that I craved so much. "Hello love! How did it go?" He said cheerfully. I smiled at his enthusiasm. "It went well. She understood completely. She supports me in whatever I decide to do." I told him. There was a long pause before he answered. "Harry..? You still there?" I asked. "Yeah! I'm just so happy. I thought.." he paused. "Well never mind. That's great!" He continued. "Yeah, so do you wanna just bring Liam over and maybe you two could just show us around LA." I suggested. "Yeah! we'll be over in 10!" He announced. I smiled again and said "great see you then" before hanging up.

        "Oh! There it goes again!" Kaidyn yelled and pointed at me. "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "That smile you do before biting your lip!" She yelled again. I guess I do that absent mindedly. I didn't even realize I do that.
