***Ariel's POV***

I'm seated across from Cameron and next to Harry, with my mother across from Harry. We eat silently, the room has such a powerful awkward feeling that I think I could reach out and feel the awkward in the air.

"So Harry, do you have a job?" My mother breaks the silence. Harry looks up from his plate and rests his hands in his lap.

"Um, yes ma'am. I mean Charolette. I work at a frozen yogurt place not too far away from here." He says politely.

I reach my hand out under the table to squeeze his knee. He looks at me and gives me a smile. I return his smile before looking at Cameron, whos eyes are focused intently on stabbing a piece of lettuce. I know how awful I must be making him feel. And I do feel a little bit guilty for putting him through this.

Cameron notices my stare on him and he looks up from his plate to stare back at me. His expression is hard to read at the moment. My thoughts are answered when he speaks up. "So I assume you two have been using protection and taking all the precautions like responsible young adults?" Cameron says with an evil smirk looking between me and Harry.

My jaw drops un willingly and Harry cholks on some water he was just putting in his mouth. My mother drops her fork onto her plate with a loud clatter. Of course he would say something like that. He would say anything to put me or my mother on edge when he's clearly upset and doesn't get what he wants.

"We literally just started dating." I spit. "You know that, you were eaves dropping." I finish.

His smirk dissapears before he responds. "Doesn't mean anything. You guys still could've fu-" My mother cuts him off before he can finish his rude remarks.

"Cameron! I am appalled that you would think something so cruel of your best friend! What's wrong with you?" My mother stares at Cameron with rage clear on her face.

"It is just sex Char..." Cameron says non chalantly. Shrugging his shoulders as he says it.

My mom stays silent and looks away from Cameron. "I'm sorry Harry. You'll get to know Camerons sense of humor. I don't approve of it as you can see." My mom says with a small forced smile.

"It's alright. Cameron clearly hasn't grown out of his childish-like behavior." Harry says returning her smile. He seems completely unfazed by Camerons remark anymore. Cameron gives Harry a death glare, and I know that if my mother wasn't in the room Cameron would be at Harrys throat by now.

I see Camerons mouth open and ready to fire something back at Harry, but I cut him off before he can. "Cameron?! A word..?" I ask glaring at him. He raises an eye brow at me but quickly gives me a grin before standing up.

I stand up as well and I feel Harrys hand on my arm pulling me towards him. I look down at him and he has a mix of anger and worry on his face. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" He says through clenched teeth.

"I won't be long. I promise." I say reassuringly and give him a swift kiss on the cheek before walking passed Cameron and down the hall into Kaidyns room.

I hear the door click shut behind me and I turn to face Cameron. "Did you suddenly come to your senses?" He asks me with a grin, making his way closer to me. I back up further every time he steps closer.

"If you try to make a move on me, I swear to God I'll scream." I warn him, putting my hands up between us.

He looks down before looking back up at me. "Alright, I won't touch you. What did you wanna talk about then? If it wasn't to find another excuse to kiss me?" He taunts with a grin.
