That feeling

 -Ariel's POV
"Alright class. Sorry for holding you for 5 minutes extra. I just wanted to make sure you all understood the expectations of this assignment." Mr. Fitzgerald finished off. I then got up and headed for the door behind everyone else. I was stopped by an arm wrapping around my waist from behind me. He pulled me closer to him. "Ariel, I don't know how I can say this but, I can't hold it back anymore without telling you." He whispered into my ear. Every breath tickled my neck. My breath hitched as he spoke. "I think you're the most beautiful girl in the entire class." He smirked. I turned to him with a blush as if he was joking. There were plenty of pretty girls in the class. "You're joking right?" I asked. He wrapped his arms around me again and pulled me closer. No more space left between us. My hands laid on his chest because there was no other place to put them. His eyes were sinking into mine and he grinned. I noticed my heart rate picked up and my cheeks were getting hotter. "I think you feel the same about me." He winked. "I'll meet you at your place in about half an hour." He said and walked away. Leaving me speechless.

I can't remember the last time I had that feeling. It's been quite some time. Other guys have tried getting at me before. I just never felt the same way or just wasn't ready. No guy could ever make me feel the way that he did. My ex. The one that ruined my whole high school life. But now here I am. And someone did it. Harry did it. He gave me that feeling again. It's hard to explain. Those butterflies in your stomach that leaves you wanting more. The rush you feel in your heart and all over your body. I missed that feeling.

"Ms. Summers? Can I help you with something?" Mr. Fitzgerald asked. I realized I was still standing where Harry had left me. "Sorry no. I was just thinking. Thank you though. I'll see you on Thursday." I smiled. "Yeah, see you Thursday." He said and returned my smile. I walked out of the classroom smiling into my notebooks. "Why are you so smiley?" I heard Kaidyn ask. She was leaning against the wall waiting for me. "No reason." I smiled again biting my lip. "YES THERE IS! You're smiling uncontrollably and you just bit your lip trying to hide it!" She yelled in accusation. "It's a boy! I haven't seen you smile like that since..." She trailed off. "Never mind. Sorry. But I haven't seen you smile like this in a long time." She finished.

I stayed quiet. I never said anything. I don't want to break our promise to each other. I should just stay as far away from Harry as possible. "Oh crap!" I yelled once we got out of the school. "What? Did you forget something?"  Kaidyn asked about to turn around and go back in. "No. Harry's gonna meet us at home in half an hour. 20 minutes now." I remembered. "Oh ok, then let's go." She said and walked towards the parking lot.

We got home and there was a car already in our driveway. Which I assume is most likely Harry and Liam. I walked over to the drivers side of the car. The door opened and Harry came out. He ran his fingers through his hair once and then put his hands on my waist. Within a second I was pinned against his car. I was eye to eye with his deep green eyes. Our fore heads touching and exchanges breaths. His arms wound around my waist. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around his neck. I wanted to be even closer to him, if that was even possible. "Uh.... Excuse me?" I heard Kaidyn say from behind Harry. Harry closed his eyes tight in irritation and let go of me. "What's going on here? We've only been here for 2 days and your already getting with someone?!" She accused. She was obviously upset. "What about our promise Ariel?! I held up my part!" She yelled. Her eyes were wide with anger. I was speechless, I was frozen in place. "Wait. What promise?" Harry asked holding his hands up. "Of course she didn't tell you. You two obviously have chemistry." She rolled her eyes. I couldn't help but grin down at my shoes. Trying not to make it so noticeable. Kaidyn stormed her way into the house leaving me and Harry outside alone.

"Ariel,  what promise?" Harry asked me with concerned eyes. He put his finger under my chin lifting up my head. I could imagine my face was filled with shame. "Love. What is it?" He asked again. "I've had a history with a bad relationship back in high school. It was like really bad. I almost didn't make through high school. I was so depressed and it was probably my darkest days. Anyways, we promised each other no boys while we're in school. Because they're a big distraction. But I haven't felt that feeling you give me whenever you touch me, in a long time. I missed it. I couldn't help myself." I confessed. He just looked at me with such worry and compassion. "Ariel. Love. I get it. I understand. I had the same problem. I had a terrible experience with my first love too. I was broken, as you were as well. I haven't felt it either in a long time. All I've ever done is use girls. You're just... different from the rest of the girls I've ever played with." He confessed.

I started to cry. I felt a tear escape down my cheek. He wiped it away with his finger. Then kissed my cheek. "We can talk later love. If you want to. First you need to go fix things with Kaidyn. I won't stand in your way, with whatever you choose to do." He reassured me. I nodded. He kissed my forehead once more and got in his car. He drove off leaving me alone in the driveway.

After a few minutes of thinking, I built up enough courage to go explain to my best friend. Hopefully she forgives me. I really didn't do anything. All that happened was I felt again. She can understand that, right? I guess we'll find out.
