Legacy of Ages: Book One: The Way to Ejept.

Back cover.
The sun was streaming through the window of the attic highlighting the small dust particles as they floated to the floor. Ron climbed the last couple of steps to his grandfather's sanctuary. He looked around the almost hallowed space before reaching the top. The entire attic was an open work space of the house on the cliff that was built in the mid-1800s, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean of Eastern North America. The look of the attic and the memory of his grandfather came rushing back to him. Ron had no idea what would transpire over the next few weeks as he uncovered his grandfather's secrets. Secrets that led to ancient mysteries and the hall of knowledge buried in Egypt thousands of years ago to preserve it for the time when it would be needed.
That time is now.
This book can be found on all major worldwide platforms.
I trust that you will enjoyreading it as much as I have in writing it.
Chapter 1
The sun shining down on the scene through the window on this early spring day, heralds a new beginning to the year of life, where flowers in vases, artfully arranged around the spacious opulent residence, reflect feelings of new beginnings.
Those feelings are unfortunately ones that weigh heavily on me, while I consider the implications of what is about to happen. The crowd that has gathered in the stone paved courtyard, surrounded by the ancient stone buildings that line St. Peter's Square, which has been at its maximum capacity for the last few hours, waits anxiously for their leader's speech from the famous window.
I look down on the crowd and the diversity of the people milling about, from the window of the main sitting room, as Pope Pius is given the final once over by his personal attendants before stepping to the window of his private study at the corner of the Apostolic Palace.
The crowd senses the moment coming, which puts a smile on my face as I feel the force of their combined expectation that is always generated when ever a large crowd of people gather in one place for such an historic event.
The last thing the solemn Cardinals do before opening the window that the crowd has focused their attention on, is to lift the Popes Damask to his head covering his thinning hair. It is a simple white design with a red trim along the edges to show his humility and support of the common people. A sense that he wants to bestow on the crowd below and the world at large on such a day.
Pope Pius stands straighter as he takes a deep breath, before moving forward to the window followed by a barrage of Vatican appointed photographers and film crew. He stops just in front of the two panels of lead glass panes in their copper frames, and nods to the two Cardinals that will open the sections simultaneously, as he moves confidently forward to appear in the now opened window, while the two Cardinals step up behind him, and slightly to each side, so the crowd far below can see the support the Church has for it's leader.
I watch from my vantage point, as the crowd reacts to the vision of their almost deified leader at the famous window, looking out from the Study that has been used by hundreds of Popes over the centuries and millennia.
This is only the second time Pope Pius has appeared in the window, since accepting the hallowed position two years before, during one of the most viewed events in TV history, as the "Fumata Bianca", or white smoke lifted from the simple smoke stack, marking the decision that had been made by the Cardinals.
