¿Kathrine Wallace?

Pinkerton Agent, V.P.

When I woke up it was pitch black, probably around three in the morning. I yawned and felt two heavy arms, one around my waist and the other around my shoulder.

I looked over and couldn't help but smile at Alex who had a soft smile on his lips. They were chapped and were busted down the center of his bottom lip and looked like they hurt.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before opening my eyes and giving them a soft kiss. I pulled back after a second or two and slowly slipped out of his arms. I glanced back a couple steps away and whispered, "I'll be back. I promise."

Slipping off with the phone in my hand I texted her number.

Come get me. I'm ready.

It was only fifteen minutes before I heard a car speed by and stop. "Katie?" Someone whispered and I peeked out to look at the dirt road.

"Lara!" I exclaimed and rushed into her open arms. We hugged for a second and pulled back to smile at each other.

Lara worked in narcotics at the agency, or at least last time I was there. She had red hair that was a pixie cut and bright green eyes. Her pale cheeks were spotted with freckles and she had a rosy cheeks with a cheery smile. All in all she reminded me of a fairy from a story book.

She stepped back and tossed me a bag. "Get changed, I only got ten minutes. In a few hours we'll send another car for lover boy back there." She giggled and I glared hiding that stupid little blush that had escaped.

Marching away I quickly stripped out of my bloodstained clothes and into some fresher clothes. I groaned as I looked down. I felt like I was in a Black Widow costume, the assassin in Avengers, who was totally based off me.

She did this on purpose. Oh when I get my hands on La-

"Kate?" Alex said sitting up. I quickly turned around and cursed as he looked around and squinted as he looked at me. "What are you doing? And what are you wearing?"

"Ummm...." Improvise Kate! "Well agent protocol states that before going into battle one must dress appropriately. This material isn't heavy but thick and protective. Black helps with stealth and I'm...I have to finish this Alex. I can't sit and wait for people to risk their lives because of some silly secret!"

Alex stood up and grabbed my hand. "Then let's go partner." He whispered and walked past me while I stood in shock.

"Wait? Are you serious?" I asked running behind him. "You don't want to try and stop me?"

He smiled slightly and looked at me out of the corner of his eye. "Why would I? It's impossible to stop you once your motivated. So..if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

I grinned and grabbed his hand, dragging him towards the jeep before tossing him some clothes. "Alex, Lara. Lara, Alex." I said quickly before pushing Alex off towards the woods to change.

By now the sky was slowly getting brighter and I glared at Lara as she wiggled her eyebrows and made kissy faces.

"Shut up." I mumbled and looked away.

"Didn't say anything..." She smiled and looked the other way.

We sped up the road, muddy water being splashed up by the wheels. The sun was peering out between the dewy leaves since we had taken the long way.

We all sat in silence, one I found extremely comfortable for only a few minutes. Sighing I ran my fingers through the oily hair and started french braiding it.

I let out a screech as the car bounced, one tire falling in a deep puddle. The car sped on and I tried to ignore loud laughter coming from the driver and soft laughter trying to held back from my partner.

Sighing I leaned out of the car and slid my finger through the mud building up on the door. I glared at Alex and swiped my pointer finger across his cheek.

He let out a gasp and smiled evilly before doing the same to me. Thinking for a second I did it to his other cheek.

"War paint." I shrugged and smiled slightly as he did the same to my right cheek.

"Stop touching each other. Geez you kids these days!" Lara exclaimed looking back at us and scaring Alex.

Lara was notorious for being able to drive without looking at the road, she used her peripheral vision but I'm pretty sure she's just lucky.

We pulled up to the back of the ware house and I took a deep breath before leaping out and walked towards the back, Alex following close behind.

The sound of bullets filled the once quiet surroundings. Smashes, clashing, and cries of pain filled my ears and adrenaline filled my veins.

Throwing the hood open I pulled out a dagger and shoved it into its holder on my thigh. Grabbing two guns I fixed them to my belt and grabbed more supplies.

Strategies ran through my mind and I thought of every scenario I could imagine. Finally a plan came to mind.

Walking towards the door I didn't wait for commands. I left Alex at the jeep along with Lara. I left them and went to my inevitable doom.

Harshly kicking the steel door open I marched in, avoiding gasps of surprise and murmurs.

"She's alive?" Someone whispered to another. Everyone froze, it seemed even Nathan's men didn't know the full story.

"Well? Get on with it!" I yelled angrily and rushed towards the lion's den to end this once and for all.

Two knives, two hand guns, a few cases of ammunition, and two trackers. That was all I needed to end this for good.
