¿Kathrine Wallace?
Pinkerton Agent, V.P.
After researching and catching up in things I decided to try and relax for a few hours.
Benny had his grand daughters over and I was actually thrilled. I remembered them when they were so much younger.
When they would dress me up like a princess and would have tea-parties. I loved babysitting them!
We would all have girl talks, you know about our crushes, well I talked about my boyfriend who then became my fiancé, Nathan Winchester, while they talked about their new neighbor or a classmate.
They decided they wanted to dip dye my hair and began asking about Nathan. If we ever got married. But today Benny answered their questions about Nathan, and told me something that made my happy smile drop.
Nathan was my partner and I loved him like crazy. He had tousled black hair that slightly curled at the end and forest green eyes that read you faster than you could say your name. He was a brilliant agent and a loyal partner, and probably one of the best on the field.
He was the most brilliant man I had worked with and was my best friend. Yet I failed to know he died during the mission in '08.
I had a small hope that he had waited for me, that we would get back together and could fix this problem like the old days when we were always there for each other.
But, he would never be able to do that. But how could I have known that my partner died the same day I started running? During that mission in '08 everything changed, I just didn't know how much it affected me until now.
I excused myself and soon was speeding down the road, letting the car take me to wherever it wanted to.
I could believe he was dead, but then again it shouldn't be surprised. Almost everyone who I cared about was killed. A plan started to form in my head and I was driving so fast my damp hair was whipping my face hard.
I smelled slightly of Kool-Aid and it had steaks of red and black (a product of when you put blue in then accidentally get rid of the blue-green by covering it with dark red) in it and I actually liked the change.
I was thankful for my days of relaxation before the newest bombshell hit me hard. I swore then that I would never put anyone else in harm's way. If I needed help I would simply use them then disappear from their lives. I would leave Benny's in the middle of the night and leave him a quick note and my new number.
I was dragged out of my thoughts as a siren blared behind me. I slowed down and put my old sunglasses on.
I felt guilty because as the officer came over I couldn't help but gawk for a good three seconds before I remembered Nathan, who had died while we were still together, who had gone with me on that mission and who was always there for me.
The police officer had a familiar voice but he proved my theory correct as he slid his sunglasses up. I bit my bottom lip, holding back insults and everything else I wanted to yell at Alex.
I used a nice Spanish accent trying to mask my identity but I was soon being held close by the man I wanted to hold close everyday yet never wanted to see again.
I shivered as his breath tickled my neck while he whispered, "Kate...why'd you leave me?" Stop it Kate, leave him in the dirt, he doesn't like you. Not even as a friend.
I slowly and hesitantly looked down at the back of his head and, glaring daggers at him opened my mouth.
"Because I'm secretive, irritating, sensitive and annoying. Overall I'm an irritating girl who can't be trusted." I said bitterly and he moved his head so he could see me better.
Holding my cheeks with both hands he smiled softly and shook his head. "Kate, I gave you my word I would protect you and help you. I know all the pain you've gone through and showing your feelings just proves you're human. And you should know eavesdropping isn't polite." He smiled as he spoke softly and mumbled, "At least listen to the whole conversation." After he said that, my thoughts went back to the last time I had eavesdropped.

I was running through a building, flames lapping at my heels. For the first time Nathan hadn't done his job, and now the building would explode any second. I tried calling him on his radio but there was no answer. He must have gotten out or lost it somewhere, I thought, ignoring the small voice in the back of my head telling me I was wrong.
I had been running towards the only available exit when I heard voices. I leaned close to the door and heard atleast ten voices discussing something. Then just when I was about to kick down the door, they said something that made me freeze. I wanted to stay and listen but this building would be nothing but ashes soon so I plugged a bug into the door and decided to make a run for it.
I turned to run when I saw a strong man in all black holding a large knife at me. "Oh, come on!" I exclaimed and glaring at the man with the ski mask. He was atleast twice the size as me and four times the muscle. "You only brought a knife?" I laughed and easily kicked the knife out of his hand and went into attack mode.
But he wanted to play dirty as another of his masked friends came with the knife I had kicked away. I fought and fought and managed to get out just as the building was eaten up by flames, caused by a bomb Nathan was supposed to diffuse. I looked for Nathan and called him again but he didn't pick up.
I wish I could say I got out fine, without a scratch or bruise, but I knew that in a few months or so I would have at least three nasty scars. I didn't return to base that day and called Benny from a payphone and said I wouldn't be around for a while, and he understood. I went to the place I called home at the time and listened to what the bug had recorded.
My hands shook as I came upon new information and then they said something that caused me to run for all these years. "Find Kathrine Wallace, and kill her. Do whatever it takes, however long it takes, as trechorus as it takes. You have no limits, no boundaries, and no people offlimits. Oh, and get rid of whoever stands in your way."

"Kate? Kate? Kate!" Alex said shaking me slightly and I blinked in confusion. He held up one finger before he dashed to his car.
"I think you need these more than the Department does." He smiled and my eyes widened in anger and then fear.
"What? Y-did you read these? So you know-? How could you- I would have rather have told you than you reading about me like a creepy stal-Where did you get them?!" I exclaimed ripping them away from him and glared as I held the three buldging files.
"In the records room, the DA's office flooded so we have all their files and documents..." Alex said and I grabbed his hand, dragging him back to his car.
"Follow me." I said and drove back to Benny's place, Alexander Radley following close behind. He was the last person I wanted to get involved, yet he happily snuck into my boat and was oblivious to the waterfall up ahead.
