The 2 days of the school went by quickly, ken was no where to be seen around the school, neither was maddie , I made my conclusion that they maybe together! Having sex somewhere

He didn't even try to text or apologise & that made my anger towards him grow eventually.
Karen tries to console me into telling that what ken did was , because he cared about me & he probably didn't want other guys or the "cutie" aka mason ,near me, but i jus reminded her about the "car conversation" & how he doesn't care about me which she quickly agreed too,I met the group in each break, they seem to not know what was going on between ken & me & I decided to keep it that way!

It's Sunday vuhuuu finally I could sit by my bed & start watching Netflix, no drama nothing
As I quickly wore my comfy clothes & started watching a random Netflix movie
My phone began to ring Suddenly & it was an unknown number
I picked up ,the line said "hey"
I quickly replied "whos this?"
"Um hey its mason!"
"Oh hi mason, may I know how did you get my number" i ask trying to keep my cool down

"Um your friend karen gave it to me!"
Ofcourse karen" this bitch better die
"So , i was thinking now that it's Sunday & we have nothing to do, why don't i take you out to eat?"

That was so quick & yet so smooth,
Again I thought to myself why should i even decline , i had no reasons to , i was single so was he & hell yeah i need to move on!

"Oh okay smooth mason, pick me up at 7"
"Yessssss"he shouted like he probably won a baseball match!

"See you at 7" i say & cut the line up
I hurriedly run towards my bed , causing a thud & try to process my date with mason!

Its nearly 6:45 & i am ready , i glance at myself one last time in the mirror , i am wearing tight navy blue shorts with a plain white ringer top & yet again i look suprisingly good ,

i call karen & "thank her" in as sarcastic way as possible for setting the date up , she adds "remember there are a lot of fis...." she was about to complete as i say "yayatayayayaya" bye gotta goo!" I say & cut the call off

Its almost 7 & mason calls in "hey i am waiting in your porch "
" i ll be there in 2"

My mom suprisingly doesn't ask questions & just says " get your ass back by 10"
" are you even my mother ? Jeez"
I say & we both end up laughing at the choice of her words

As I walk towards mason he quickly says
"Woah woah woah woah"
" hehh?" I say laughing
" you look so good!"
" well thanks , if your done with your woahs , i am hungry lets eat!"
"Yes sure"
He opens up the passenger door to his car & i sit in
The car ride was short& silent  , as I realised the cafe he pulled into ,
Memories of me running out , away from adrian flashed out in my brain

"Something wrong?"

"Nope lets just eat" i say as we both enter the cafe.

As we order our eatables , I quickly say trying to sound as sorry as possible

" i am sorry for everything about ken mason, he is just crazy & he hates me that's why he probably pulled out the stunts?"

" hey its totally fine, atleast you tried to defend & thats was matters" this guy surely knows his way towards women

" & yea you sure, about he "hates" you ?, cause this is not what a person who" hates" you does!

" lets just talk about something else!" I say & we start exchanging Netflix shows, songs & every random topic!
It was a good date I thought to myself.
After eating , we head outside  the cafe 

& start walking towards the car as mason & i were talking  we heard noise , we look around and find ken , he wasnt with his friends and he was surrounded with couple of other guys  who probably didn't look like his friends, as I took in what was going on , one of the tall guy quickly took a hit on him , what the hell no ! They are so many & he is one , they ll probably kill him noo . I thought. I was high on adrenaline and not thinking, I unconsciously took out my pepper spary
I had to do something

I didnt have any second thoughts and walked towards where ken was i could hear mason in the background but his voice faded and i didnt care at the time , as i reached them , kens eyes met mine he was furious and his eyes asked me to run away but i couldnt . Not again
I couldn't let him die not in front of me!

As the tall guy was about take a hit on ken I sprayed the pepper spray into his eyes he gasped for air and yelled what the hell , bitch , kill her too he announced to the rest of the group.

I noticed a blonde guy coming towards me & this time he was trying to hit me , but I quickly saw him fall towards the ground & cry in pain .

Ofcourse ken

" NOBODY FUCKING TOUCHES MY GIRL!" Ken shouts as loud as he could be

"My girl"

Oh my god did he just say that?

I was trying to process this as i saw
another car approaching us & this time  the car had Niall & his whole boy squad, ken quickly grabbed me threw me outa there , & started walking me towards his car

As we reached, he opened the passenger seat & threw me inside, "sit & FOR FUCKS SAKE DONT COME OUT wait till I return!"  I nod my head at his words & see him running towards the group they fought with the bad guys it was intense.
" Lets go we will get their asses next time" the tall guy said still rubbing his eyes
As they got up ending the fight and left
Ken said " their wont be no next time"
" oh yeah we will take care of that ass" one of the bad guys said.
And mumbling things to eachother they walked away.
I suddenly remembered about mason and walk out of the car to find him i look around but dont see him, i walk towards the cafe and as i am walking someone pulls me by my hand
" ahh" i grunt
" what you did there was stupid" he said with anger dripping down his voice.
" okay but atleast you are alive" i say back
" wheres your new boyfriend wasnt he here too? Why didnt he come to rescue you? Is he that weak?" He taunted
" yeah i hope to find out if you leave me now" i say trying to pull myslef out of his captivity
But he doesn't let go of me
" you don't have to be my saviour okay?" He demands
" why? You feel like you owe me? Cause no you dont i would have done that for anyone" i spit out

Would you ruth?

He didn't say anything just stared , i was completely taken aback by the situation when mason shows up .
" hey ruth are you alright?" He asks
" yes..." i am about to say when ken cuts  me off again
"Where were you asshole? Are you so scared that you cant put up a fight and save your girl? Are you that much of a coward" he judges mason.

" hey i just didn't want to get involved..." as he was about to finish the rest of kens friends come around looking surprised , Ken lets go off me as soon as he sees them coming and i caress my arm.
" you stay away , i dont need no saviour" he says and walks away to his car .
" hey ruth" kens friends say in unison
" hi guys bad timing i gtg" i tell them and sympathies.
I take masons hand and walk away from the cafe place, he drives me home and I apologise about whatever happened today to him, he said it was alright and hugged me goodbye.
As i reach home it was 11:30 and i was super tired I didn't even bother to undress and went to bed.
As i shifted in my bed trying to find a comfortable to sleep in but i failed amd gave up i couldnt stop thinking about what happened today . I couldnt get over ken calling me my girl , does this mean something or am i just overthinking.
Whatever ruth he just said that in the moment it doesn't mean anything my voices tell me and i push off the thoughts , now i am drawn to mason what did he do? While i was gone . I decide to ask him tomorrow at school and force myself to sleep as i hadn't been sleeping lately and it was a problem . I lay down and curl up in my bed close my eyes when my phone buzzes .
Ruth how did it go? It read , it was karen.
You wont believe. Meet me tomorrow before you first period. I reply putting my phone on silent and go to bed.
