I turned around to see a unfamiliar man, he was really hot, but nothing compared jake.

I still had tears coming down my face, while the man was looking at me.

"Why is a really stunning women like you, standing here crying?" He asked coming closer to me.

"Just a asshole showed who he actually was" I said giving fake laugh wiping my tears away.

"Can I Buy you a drink?" He asked.

I was about to say no, but why not? I don't have a reason to say no. I need to start saying yes more instead of being quiet, shy and saying no to things outside my comfort zone.

"I'd love to, how about you get us a seat while I freshen up?" I asked

"Sure, I'll be at the bar waiting" he winked and walked away.

After I freshened up, I walked out towards the bar, it hurt to see jake still there, sitting with women around him.

I sat down next to the guy and he gave me a smile while having a drink of his whiskey.

"Can I get you a drink?" He asked.

"Yes, whiskey please" I said confidently.

He smirked and told the barman.

"I like a women who can handle a strong drink" he said.

"I didn't get your name earlier, I'm jonas"

"Alex" I smiled. I looked at the corner of my eye to see jake giving us a death glare.

"Alex" he tested "a beautiful name for a beautiful lady" he said looking into my eyes.

Jonas and I talked for while, we laughed and had drinks together. It was so natural.

"Come on, we're leaving" I heard from behind me. It was jake.

"Go away" I said to him.

"Get away from my girlfriend ". jake said to jonas.

"I'm not your girlfriend, go away" I said to jake.

"I'll take you home, your friend already left" jake said

"I can take you home, Alex if you'd like"

"Yes jonas I would like that" I said loudly to ensure jake heard me.

"Alexis!" Jake growled. What is he? A dog?.

"I'll go call my car, I'll give you some time" jonas said walking outside.

"What jake?!" I shouted a bit too loudly.

"You're not leaving with him!" He shouted back.

"It's none of your business!" I shouted

"It is! Your my employee"

"I sent my letter of resignation a few days ago, so no I'm not"

"Why did you quit?" He asked a bit softer now.

"Because I was sitting at home with you ignoring me for 3 weeks, it really fucking hurt, I needed to get past it" I said.

I looked into his eyes and saw guilt but he didn't say anything.

"Goodbye jake" and I turned to walk away.

"I'm sorry" he mumbled it I didn't respond.

"Fuck!" He growled and kicked someone, but I still kept walking.

It hurt, I hadn't known him for that long but he still hurt me a lot, I felt stupid for feeling so much for him and only knowing him for such a short time.
