Theme song for this is War of Hearts by Ruelle, once again.
stood on a balcony, over looking a stream. The stream was beautiful, unlike anything in Earth. Middle-Earth just had that feeling, a gorgeous and clean feeling. The stream ran for hours, winding down paths and up hills.
Boromir was walking on a pathway, wandering around Rivendell. He took in all the breathtaking sights; courtyards, full of rose vines. Balconies, overlooking hills, rivers, and mountains. However, there was one sight that he admired most. The sight of Katheryn Kendell, the mysterious woman from Earth.
''My Lady.'' Boromir stood behind her, inclining his head in greeting. He watched as Kate turned around, quite peaceful, and not startled. ''You look beautiful.''
''Boromir.'' Kate said, hiding her surprise. ''Thank you. The elleths of Rivendell seem to bring out the light in everyone.''
''A light that always shines brightly, on you.'' Boromir reasoned, watching how the pale silk flowed beautifully, on Kate's olive-colored skin. In Boromir's eyes, Kate was a goddess, a goddess that he couldn't help but love. Love at first sight, as they say.
Kate smiled. Boromir really was a gentleman, not the rough, greedy man that they showed. He really did show his emotions, and many men failed to do that. ''You're very kind.''
Before Boromir could reply, two children ran in. A boy, who looked around eight, was holding his younger sister's hand. The younger girl looked around five, and the two looked very adorable together.
''Suil!'' The girl greeted, in her native language. The young elf girl was tiny, with her crystal blue eyes and long blonde hair.
Kate chuckled, as the older boy looked at his sister. ''They are human, Lirith. They speak common tongue.''
''Hello!'' The girl said, going to Boromir. ''I am Lirith, and this is my brother, Eldor!'' She said, as Boromir kneeled to her height.
''Hello, young one. Lirith, you say? What a beautiful name, for a beautiful girl!'' Boromir said, watching as Lirith smiled. ''My name is Boromir, and I come from Gondor.''
''Boromir?'' Eldor asked. ''Boromir Denethorian? Is your father Denethor, the steward of Gondor?''
''Why yes, my father is Denethor.'' Boromir replied, watching as the two siblings looked at each other, in wonder.
''Is that your wife?'' Lirith suddenly asked, pointing to Kate. Kate had been observing, watched as Boromir interacted with the children. He was good with them, not as Kate would have thought. When she processed Lirith's comment, Kate's cheeks heated up, and she blushed, deeply.
Boromir turned to look at Kate, his eyebrows raised. Upon seeing Kate's red face, Boromir suddenly felt satisfied; Kate didn't look mad, merely surprised. Maybe she did not dislike him.
''Katheryn?'' Boromir said, looking back at the children. ''No, she is not my wife....merely a lady friend.'' Then, Boromir leaned closer, as to whisper. He made to whisper loudly, so that Kate could hear. ''She is quite beautiful, isn't she?''
''Very.'' Lirith nodded. ''She looks like an elleth girl!''
''You are lucky to have her.'' Eldor said, very seriously. ''She's a keeper. You could be husband and wife, one day.''
Boromir laughed, as Kate turned beat-red. ''Of you go, children!'' Boromir said, then thought for a second. He leaned to the children, not letting Kate hear, this time. ''You must know a lady, before you marry her.'' He said, before winking. The two children giggled, before running away. Boromir stood up, returning to Kate's side.
''Those little rascals!'' Kate laughed. ''What did you tell them?'' She asked, curious.
''Ahh, just a secret.'' Boromir said, laughing along with her. Not because of the situation, but because of how beautiful Kate's laugh was.
Kate stopped laughing, and looked into the distance. ''You're good with children.'' She said, though she was far off, into her own thoughts. Suddenly, a picture popped into her head.
Boromir and Kate were wrapped in each other's arms, and danced around in a grand room. The floor was marble, and there was a grand staircase, adorned in a gold carpet. A girl and boy were there, and were trying to copy their dances. They looked....like their children?
However, the picture was gone as soon as that. Kate knew that she felt attracted to Boromir, and how different he was, in real life. It couldn't happen, though. Kate belonged in another universe. She knew....it was forbidden love. He would never love her back, and, besides, what would her sisters think?
Boromir smiled. ''I have a younger brother, Faramir. I watched over him, as a child. I love kids, and one day want my own. Have you ever wanted to start a family, Kate?'' He asked, interested.
''Yes.'' Kate said, smiling, as her dream of a family came back to her. ''I want to marry someone who is a gentleman, and is kind, loving, and brave. I want to live in a grand house, with four kids. Yes, four.''
''A big family.'' Boromir said, picturing himself with Kate.
''Yes.'' Kate said, looking into his beautiful eyes. Boromir returned the look, and found himself leaning closer. Kate leaned closer herself, waiting to see what would happen. ''A big one.''
''Kate.'' Boromir whispered. ''I like you.'' He dared looking at her reaction, and found shock. He immediately chided himself, until he heard her response.
''I won't deny it, Boromir. I....I'm attracted to you.'' Kate whispered, before closing her eyes, and leaning forward. The two closed the space between them, and it happened.
They kissed.
