She raised her hand and hesitated before knocking. She waited and heard nothing for a minute. As she turned to head back to her car the door creaked open slightly.

Cambria was standing there disarray. She tried to wipe away the small smears of mascara under her eyes and pull up her unkempt hair. She stood in a baggy sweatshirt with shaking hands. She wasn't the normal put together Cambria.

She said a quiet hello and asked what Astrid wanted.

"I wanted to see how you were. It had been a while." Astrid said.

"I'm fine." she lied.

"I know that you know everything..." Astrid said.

Cambria gently nodded her head and looked down at the porch.

"I wanted to apologize for what happened. I wish I could have prevented it." Astrid continued. "I'm trying to figure out why he's doing it. I'm trying to prove myself to him first and he asked me to bring you into the pack."

Cambria's solemn face turned bitter.

"Maybe you could fake wanting to join so I could get closer to Heath and find out information."

"The audacity!" Cambria broke out and grabbed the door. "Is that really why you came to speak with me? To use me in your little plan? Take your fake apologies and get off my porch."

"Wait Cambr-" Astrid started before the door was closed on her face...

Astrid drove to Tala and Koda's to talk to them about what to do. Meanwhile, Cambria's anger faded as she processed the situation.

Tala said she wanted to speak with Cambria. So Tala arrived at Cambria's door, not knowing how to go about the situation.

"What do you want?" Cambria asked.

"Please talk to me. I walked two miles to get here and I have to walk two miles back." Tala begged. She didn't mention that the walk made her leg pound with pain again.

Cambria let her inside to sit.

"I know you're scared." Tala said.

Cambria didn't say anything but barely nodded her head. "It's okay to be scared but just now that we all want to be here for you." Tala fiddled with her necklace. "I know you were forced into it and I'm sorry. You should know that even though it was forced it's really not that bad. You have improved hearing, vision, and smell. The only downside is having to transform during the full moon and creating an excuse to get out of things. You could just people you have to transform into a werewolf and they'll think you're joking."

Cambria looked at Tala and tried to hide her laugh.

"The dog jokes are fun too." Tala smiled. "We are all here to help you through the change. We want to help you understand how everything works. I know you want to push people away but we all care so much about you. You could join the pack if you wanted."

 Cambria looked away.

"But no one will force you to do anything. You can choose your path as a werewolf."
