You're too light

"Roseanne, Roseanne, my lovely little Roseanne!"

I skipped towards the living room, with my backpack slung on one shoulder. I saw Rosé freeze on the couch. She turned her head slowly towards me, eyes wide.

"What?"

She asked in that adorably confused, almost terrified way of hers. I smiled my impish smile. Even with the sound of cars racing from the TV, I could hear Rosie's flustered heartbeat.

I propped my arms on the backrest of the couch, still smiling. It really is mean of me to find her reactions to me amusing. I should have known, I should have known, that she felt the same for me!

Roseanne's red hair was in a low ponytail, so I had a clear view of her face. If it was up to me, I wouldn't look away, so I can see her gorgeous eyes focus on the TV then flicker back to me.

But no, no, no. I have to leave.

"So... I'll be away for a short trip."

Chaeng blessed me by turning towards me completely, eyebrow cocked in question. What was she doing looking so pretty late at night? I couldn't help but smile wider.

"Don't miss me too much."

I teased.

Chaeng untucked her legs from under her and straightened her back. She pressed her lips together, probably debating whether to ask or not.

"Spit it out, Chaeng. I know you wanna ask, just like always."

I leaned closer, so our faces were just a feet apart. What perfect angelic beauty. I'm smiling so much, it's hard to believe I'm going out to execute more than twenty people.

Roseanne frowned. She stared me deep in the eyes, demanding nothing but two hundred percent of my attention.

Oh, you got it, Chaeyoung. You always had it.

"You're not stalking actual dangerous people, right?"

She asked, her voice sounding like that of an angel. Still smiling, I shook my head.

Is this how being high feels like? I haven't been able to stop myself from smiling around Chaeng the past few days. Not that, it didn't happen since before, but now I can barely mask it. Oh my god. I lost it.

"Really? I mean- it's already nine, you don't normally leave for a trip at night, and uh..."

Chaeyoung looked down at the table, her shoulders hunching along. I slipped my bag off my shoulder, and jumped over the couch to sit with Chaeng. Taking absolute care not to jostle her.

I brought one leg up, so my body was facing her.

"You're worried, more so than normal."

I said. Chaeyoung glanced up and grimaced.

"Yah, at least try not to sound happy about it, Lisa!!"

She smacked my knee. I almost laughed.

"I can't help it! Just as you can't help being worried for me. A buff axolotl."

Chaeyoung stared at me weirdly.

"Buff, where?"

Her voice rose in pitch.

I chuckled.

Oh. Wow. I remember back then, no one could come near me before every mission. I was just so angry, so hateful, so murderous, that it was impossible for people to bring themselves within ten feet of me.
