"You sure you don't want me to wake her?"
A familiarly low voice asked. There was a pause and the owner of that voice snickered. I felt like smacking her for some reason.
"She'll wake up on her own, unnie. You really should stop antagonizing her."
Someone with a silvery voice chastised. It sounded like she just arrived and sat to my left. The voices came from either side of me, but I wasn't really awake enough to recognize them. I drifted back to sleep, until I realized I haven't heard Kuma bark.
"Kuma!"
I sat up straight. Wait.
I don't have a flat screen in my bedroom. I squinted as my eyes responded to the copious amount of sunlight.
And there's no possibility of sunlight coming inside my room. Ever.
"Good morning Jenne-unnie!"
A red haired young woman to my left, smiled. Her beautiful face was marred by dark blue bruises. It took my dazed brain a second to remember Chaeyoung's name.
"Oh. G-good morning."
I mumbled lamely. Chaeyoung grinned.
My brain finally woke up and things started to make sense. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. Someone's deep cackling made me open an eye to glare to my right.
"You forgot where you were, didn't you?"
Jisoo grinned at me. Her hair was still a little messy and she was still in yesterday's clothes, that means it wasn't long since she woke up.
"Do you want me to slap you?"
The raspiness in my voice was more apparent. Jisoo shook her head, laughing.
"I'll go prepare breakfast since you're already awake unnie."
Chaeyoung got up and beamed.
How the hell is she so bright and bubbly at eight in the morning?
"Need help?"
Jisoo the dork, asked, still smirking. Chaeyoung was already at the kitchen.
"I'm good."
"Okay. Just holler."
Jisoo turned back to me. I kept my eyes on her, while I folded the blanket. She gave me an amused but questioning look.
It's too early for me to be analyzing stuff, so I just shrugged and focused on my folding. The lighter air between the two was not my business. At least, not for the next three hours.
After setting up the couch again, I left Jisoo on her phone, to wash my face in the bathroom. I felt shy going around someone else's house, but what else could I do?
The bathroom was where you could see the presence of two residents, aside from the bedrooms, of course. It's cute how their things were color coded. Left side was mostly blue, I assume those were Chaeyoung's and Lisa owns the yellow toiletries on the right.
On my way back, I noticed that Lisa's door was slightly open. It was begging to be opened, but I didn't touch it. Barging into someone's room is rude, and creepy, if they're sleeping. And she is.
It's amusing that I expected her to snore. And she does.
I walked away, before Jisoo got the urge to look at my direction. The dork was bound to tease me, loudly.
"So, miss Roseanne, before making a call, do you practice what you're going to say? Why or why not?"
Jisoo munched on her toast. I frowned at my glass of mango juice. While eating breakfast, the two have been discussing the visual aesthetic of video games and anime. Seems like Jisoo's warmed up already, since she's firing questions again.
