I'm toxic

In the outskirts of Seoul, where buildings and warehouses alike were abandoned and ignored by most of the population, there were people. In a room with a rectangular hole as a window, of one particular deserted building, there were two.

"Thirty two combatants in the building."

Ten fastened his arm guards. He was finished suiting up, and was just informing his high maintenance friend the results of Sorn's recent reconnaissance.

"Eighteen level Two, twelve level One. We're not sure if the last two are high level Ones, or a low level Zero, but they have a Zero."

Ten warned, pulling on his knuckle guard gloves. It's been so long since he donned his complete battle gear that it already felt uncomfortable.

Ten was wearing bullet proof arm guards, elbow guards, knee guards, shin guards, and vest. All were adorned with small pieces of hard plates to help in offense and improve defense against blades. The entire ensemble was sleek and light, perfectly tailored to provide protection without hindering mobility, and making much noise. All black, of course.

Ten was suited to move quickly, quietly and deathly in the night.

"How close did you get to find that out?"

Ten made a face at the lack of worry in his friend's voice. Sure, it didn't change anything. Ten's body was already buzzing with adrenaline, there was no way he was walking away. Not even if Lisa decided to call it off.

Still, he wanted to see a flicker of doubt, or unease in the blonde's face. A sure and confident squad member is normally what boosts morale, but with Lisa, it's much better to see her hesitate and visibly pray for success.

When she's cold, laser focused, and confident that's when you run, ally or not.

"She was around six hundred feet from their hideout."

Ten replied, voice low. He had to look at the rubble on the floor, to stop his eyes from watching Lisa.

"That close. Hmm. They suck at surveillance."

Lisa checked what was left in her backpack, although the only source of light was the waxing moon, she had no problem. She had three handguns in the bag. A Desert Eagle .50, Glock 43, and a Maxim 9.

Ends weren't fans of guns, they were too loud especially for Ones and Zeroes, and not entirely fast enough for Lisa.

But Lisa promised Jisoo an all-kill. Inferior in skill, or not, Lisa's squad was outnumbered eight to one. She needed a ranged weapon to keep them in check.

Lalisa tucked the G43 in her lower pants pocket, then after a moment of deliberation grabbed the Desert Eagle and matching suppressor. It would be an impediment to her movement, since guns are last resorts, and had to be carried all throughout the fighting.

Zeroes consider them unnecessary baggage, especially if you have knives in your arsenal. And Lisa did.

The blonde had six inch throwing knives all over her person. Seven on each of her thigh, two on each forearm, four tucked in her boots, making eleven throwing knives in total.

It encouraged and bothered Ten, because Lisa had excellent aim, and she has never willingly brought throwing knives to missions.

The sound of boots intentionally brushing the floor, made Ten turn towards the doorway. He could barely make out Sorn's form, seeing as she was dressed similar to him, with the exception of the listening device on her belt and binoculars hanging around her neck. He did see Sorn's face, and she was looking at Lisa.
