Chapter 14

I met everyone at the lab and Barry seemed on edge when I got there.

"What's wrong Bar?" I asked and he looked at me as  if he was about to break.

"He's back Becs." He said and looked down.

"Who is?" Barry didn't answer right away. For a moment I thought I had been caught knowing Leonard.

"The man in the yellow suit." He slowly looked up at me and my heart dropped.

"Yellow suit? Like the one you saw when-"

"Mom was killed. Yeah. Joe said he's been here a while. Took all the evidence from Mom's case and threatened to kill Iris if he said anything." I sat down next to me in complete disbelief.

"The witness described seeing a yellow blur, just like the one that killed the twins mother." Joe explained to everyone.

"Then we need to get cracking and stop this speed psycho. That-I wasn't trying to give him a name."

"The crime scene at Mercury Labs was on a floor with highly secured vaults, and the witness said he was looking for something." Barry said.

"Whatever it was he wanted it badly enough to kill for it." Dr. Wells said.

"Doctor what do you know about Mercury Labs?" Joe asked Dr. Wells.

"Mercury was one our major competitors until our setback, and then it catapulted to the forefront led by Dr. Christina Megee." He put her picture and stuff on the screen. "Brilliant but egocentric physicist." I zoned out, thinking about how Barry was right and that this man was back.

"He's gonna try and get them again, so we need to get what mercury has and use it as a lure." Barry said.

"Exactly right. Cisco, Caitlin, let's start engineering a trap." They agreed and left.

"I just don't know what going throught Barry's head right now. I mean he saw it I didn't." I had called Oliver after coming home that night. I didn't know who else to call.

"He's thinking he has a chance at getting your dad out."

"But how do we tell dad?"

"Maybe you don't?" I was walking into the living room when I suddenly felt like I had been hit by a truck. I groaned in pain while I fell to my knees, holding my side. "Becca? Becaa what's wrong?"

"Barry's hurt." I said and went to stand up when I felt it again. "I have to go help him." I struggled again and got up to the door.

"Becca be careful don't push it."

"I'm fine. The pain doesn't last long. I gotta go find him." Then I hung up and rushed to S.T.A.R Labs.

When I got there Barry and Joe were there with Dr. Wells.

"He acted like he knew me, like we'd done this before." I heard Barry say as I walked in.

"You fought with him?" I asked coming in.

"Yeah. I'm sure you know better than anyone, I got my ass kicked."

"He was antagonizing you Bar." Joe said.

"I would get close and he would pull away. I mean this was just some sick game to him."

"You'll catch him. We'll help." Dr. Wells said looking at Joe and me.

"No you don't get it alright. He's speed it is-it's beyond me. I'm not the fastest man alive, he is. So how do we catch someone that even I can't keep up with?"
