Today is the day that i go back home to LA. I'm sad because i'm gonna miss Melo and he's gonna be gone for the rest of my senior school year.

I wake up to a text message.

Sense today's your last day in Ohio i have a surprise for you. We're hanging out all day today. So dress comfy.

Aww🥰okay. Thanks i'm getting ready now.

i got ready and wore some nike pros and a nike bra, but i decided to put on Melo's sweatpants because my legs get cold easily.

i heard a knock on the door. i open it to see melo with a bunch of snacks in his hands.

"Ugh.. Melo you know i love you so much!" I tell him.

"I know." He said walking in my the Winter Ball House. (Remember we're still in Ohio)

We then walked downstairs to the theatre room. Melo day in the front row while i was in the back working the projector.

"What do you wanna watch?" I asked him.

"One of our favorite movies of all time." He said.

I just smiled at him knowing the answer.

"Love and Basketball." We say at the same time.

i put the movie in, run to the front row, and sat by Melo.

"I'm gonna miss you Melo. I really don't know how i'm gonna go a whole school year without you." I said pouting facing him.

"Mamas if anything i would want you to not think about me and finish school and work your ass off in basketball." He said.

"But I need you.. I need your support, your love and affection that keeps me alive." I said.

"I know mamas.. i hear you. You're like my drug and i just can't get enough of you." He says.

I look down and play with the promise ring on my finger. Melo looks at me concerned.

"What's on your mind baby?" He said.

"Well i was just thinking.. are we gonna make this work? After graduation everyone will go their separate ways and you probably not playing for NCAA which means your probably not going to college. Also considering Im gonna graduate early from high school early and already considered a freshman at UCLA makes us even further apart. Then if you don't go to college you go back overseas."

"Baby I said i would make it work and i keep my promises." He said pointing to my promise ring.

"Will we though?" I said with a tear falling down my eye.

Melo just sat their in silence and sighed.

"So what are you trying to say after you leave we should just split?" He asks.

I keep my head down and nod.

"C'mere." He said pulling me into his lap and kissing me. He pulls away.

"I agree with you 100%, but now i'm gonna work even harder to get a scholarship from a school." He said.

I nod.

Melo takes off his "dip" chain.

"Melo what are you doing?" I ask him.

"Turn around." He says.

I obey.

He puts my hair to the side and put the chain on me.

I turn back around.

"What's this for?" I ask.

"So you won't forget about me." He says.

I laugh. "I could never forget about you La'France."

"Since you have something for me.." I said while taking off my 'Jaedyn' charm my grandma gave to me when she passed away.

"I want you to have it." I say.

"No.. no i can't take th-" I interrupted him.

"You can have it." I say smiling.

"and take this also." I say taking off my necklace that says 'JaedynTate' in cursive.

"I was trying to give you stuff of mine that would cost as much as this chain but.. it didn't go so well." I said while Melo laughed.

"Okay now lets have fun today!" I say getting off of his lap and putting my feet in his lap.

He puts my feet to his face.

"Eww what are your doing that's disgusting!" I ask.

"Girl i would drink your bath water. Quit playing with me." He said as i laughed and took a picture of him.

Then it came to me. This might be the last day I hang out with the love of my life.
