An Unexpected Love

Chapter 26

(Cathy's POV)

I'm on my 5th month of pregnancy. We soon get to figure out the genders on the babies. I am awoken by the sound of Spencer's voice reading a book about children.

"Did you know that our children should know us by now just by hearing our voices over and over"spencer says

"Good morning to you too"

"So many fascinating things that I......we need to learn still and....."

"Spencer I love you and I love hearing your voice but right now can you be quiet for another 20 minutes please. I want to go back to sleep"

"Sorry I bothered you"

And I just dozed back to sleep. I never knew I would get this tired now. Usually I'm a morning person but I now I like to stay up late and wake up late.

I finally wake up an realize that an hour has gone by. I start to panic because I had work. I got ready as fast as possible and realized that spencer had left already. So I take my car to work. Once I got to work I bursted into the conference room and took a seat.

"So great of you to join us Ms. Daniels." Hotchner says

"I'm sorry sir I over slept" I say

"It's fine Cathy I understand" he says

"Spencer, why didn't you wake me up after 20 minutes?" I say

"Well you were really tired and I didn't want to bother you" he says

"Really?"

"Well not really, when I told you to wake up 3 times, you said 10 more minutes so I just left you"

"Im terrible at waking up now haha"

"Cathy!!! When do you figure out the babies genders so I can go on a shopping craze for them" Penelope says

"Well I have an appointment today at 12:00 and today is the day when we find out" I say

"Spencer are you coming?" I ask

"We have a new case today and it's in Virginia. I have to go with the rest of the team, but I can tell them no"

"No it's fine, I can bring Penelope with me" I say

"Yay me!!!" Penelope says

"Once you find out there genders I want you to call me right away okay?"

"Okay" I say kissing him and pushing off to let him go on his way

"Well what now?" Penelope says

"I'm hungry" I say

"Aren't you always hungry?" She says

"Yes I am"

It was about 10:00am so I had 2 more hours til my doctors appointment. So I went to mcdonalds and basically bought the whole entire breakfast menu. After eating I did some paperwork and it almost 11:30. So I grabbed Penelope and went to the hospital. While we checked in I saw moms with cute babies. I just was just in awe and couldn't stop thinking that I will be a mother really soon.

But then I heard my name by a nurse and it was time to go in.

"Hi doctor." I say

"Where is spencer today?" My doctor asked

"Well he is out on a case so I asked my good friend to come with me." I say

"How have you been feeling?"she asked

"I'm good." I say

"Any questions for me today?"

"Nope just to know what the genders of the babies are"

"Okay shall we get started" she says with a smile.

She tells me sit on the table and I lift up my shirt so she can do an ultrasound. I can see both of my babies heads in my stomach.

"Well okay baby A is a girl. Congratulations!!" The doctor says

"Yay" I say

"Okay and baby B is a boy. Congratulations again!!"

"This is what I wanted from the very beginning. I must tell spencer"

"Oh Cathy we need to have another appointment next week"

"No problem"

"See you then."

I get out to the waiting room to see Penelope just sitting there on her laptop. I wave to her that it's time to go.

"Cathy!! What are the genders of my little babies??" Penelope asks

"It's a boy and a girl!!"

"Yay!!! I'm soo happy for you!!"

"I'm happy too!"I say starting to tear up

"So let's go back, I need to tell spencer and the rest of the team what the genders are!"I say trying to keep calm

We drive back to the BAU and the spencer and the team are already there.

"There you are!" Spencer says to me hugging me

"Sorry I just got back from the doctors appointment" I say

"Sooo??" Morgan says

"Soo? What?" I say

"What are the genders of these babies because I need to start my shopping soon for these babies" Morgan says

"We are having..... A boy and a girl"

"Really?!" Spencer says

"Yes spencer" I say to him

After everyone freaking about the baby, we all went back to work.
