An Unexpected Love

B2 Chapter 11

Spencers POV 

We had just put our profile out to the police station and then I get a call from Garcia.

"Hey, we just put out our profile, you got something for me?" I ask

"Daddy is that you?" Alice says

"Yes honey, why are you using auntie Penelope's phone?"

"Mommy is in the hospital, she got into a car accident. She looks okay, but auntie is with her. Oh and uncle Micah is here too, but he's a little baby. He got a boo-boo on his shoulder, but the cut is very small and he's crying about it. Mommy always kisses our boo-boos and they go right away."

"Hospital? Accident? Can I speak to mommy please Alice?"

"Mommy! Daddy wants to talk to you!" I hear Alice giving the phone to Cathy

"Cathy? Are you okay? Do you need me to come back?"

"Hey Spencer, I'm fine, really. Micah swerved into oncoming traffic and we crashed head on. But luckily, the oncoming traffic had noticed Micah swerving into their lane before hand and they had slowed down allowing the impact to be less severe. We're still here at the hospital, I'm okay, but Micah got a few scratches. Hold up, Thomas wants to talk to you, here sweetie"

"Dad, uncle Micah is crying because they're wiping alcohol on his boo-boo. I'm much more braver than him."

"I'm glad you're brave buddy, you get that from mommy, definitely" 

"Dad, when are you getting home, I miss you! When you get back, I want to watch Star Wars with you. Micah keeps sleeping through the movies because he  thinks they're boring. But If I watch it with you, then you get to spend more time with me and I don't have to spend time with Micah anymore. He doesn't like any of things that I like. One time we were playing catch and I threw the ball at him and he didn't catch it and hit his private area and he was crying. It was so funny, but after he dint want to play ball with me anymore. But I know daddy won't do that to me"

"Oh buddy, that's not a very nice. But don't tell mommy this, good job."

"See daddy finds it funny, mommy"

"Thomas that's exactly what I didn't want you tell mommy"

"Mommy doesn't know what we're even talking about!"

"Thomas, please hand the phone to mommy"

"But you need to promise you, you're going to play with me when you get back home"

"Ill play with you as long as you like Thomas"

"Forever, I want forever and you need to promise me now, you can't take it back now!"

"Okay buddy, don't worry I promise to play with you forever, now please hadn't the phone to mommy"

"Hey, its me"

"Are you sure you don't need me to come back?

"They need you more over there, than over here. Anyway, Penelope is taking care of me. Spence when you get back, I'll let the kids stay at your place for a bit, Micah and I have a lot to talk about"

"Oh for like a day?"

"No, I was thinking more like a couple weeks, we need to talk about a few things and its best if the kids aren't there for that. And anyway, I think it's about time they spend more time with you. You have 5 years to make up for."

"Is it because of me?"

"Yes. So I need you to just get the kids and  I'll let you know from there"

"Okay, I have to go now, the team needs me"

"Yeah, of course, be safe"

"I will, I know I caused a lot of things coming back here, and I know you don't want us to be together and I understand that. I will support you and Micah for you to be happy because that's all I want for you. I know you don't me to say it, but I love you, and I'll see you when I get back. Tell the kids I'll see them soon. Bye Cathy"

"Bye Spencer"

How do you move on from someone that you still love?

Authors Note: I know my chapters are short, but I feel like I can get 2 chapters out in a week if its like this, or would you prefer 1 long chapter? Also, I'll be putting up B2 with the Chapters to make it more clear that this is the second book of my story. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter :)
