Ch. 11 The Following Morning

~Y/n pov~

I woke up leaning on Sakura to see her still asleep and the TV was still on.

I rolled away and turned off the TV. I stifled a yawn and headed to the bathroom to get changed and freshen up.

Humming to myself in the kitchen, I layed the table and put my fluffy pancakes down.

I heard a groan from the living room signalling that Sakura had awoken.

She trudged in rubbing her eyes and yawning. Then her eyes landed on the two plates.

"For me?" she asked pointing at the plate.

"Who else?" I joked .

She smiled munching away at the pancakes as we ate in silence. But it wasn't awkward it was a comfortable silence.

I cleared my throat, "So I uh.. I wanted to know why you had such an interest in Sasuke?"

She let out a girly giggle and talked about how cute and strong he was gushing and squealing as she talked.

"I kinda have something important to tell you and please don't interrupt.." I looked at her and she nodded curiously, "I was going to tell you last night but I mean here goes," I took a deep breath before explaining my story.

"In my village, I was just like you, a fangirl I mean. And I was in school obsessing over a boy. I was too busy obsessing over him to train but I was naturally smart. My village has high expectations and at the age of eight. I was put in a squad with this boy. A few months later we got a hard mission and I wasn't strong enough to even save myself. I watched my whole squad die protecting me. And everyday I think, if I didn't obsess over him and spend more time training they'd still be alive now. " I broke into soft sobs as Sakura stared at me wide-eyed realising what she needs to do.

" Your right, I need to stop obsessing over people and start training." Sakura said confidently.

" yeah, let's train together! " I smiled.
