I wake up and feel the warm rays of sun on my face. My mate is holding me close, he looks so cute when he sleeps. I reach and grab my phone and take a quick picture. Before you ask yes my amazing mate introduced me to cell phones and taught me how to use it. I'm getting a lot better with technology. Although I still don't understand toasters. The fancy bread warmers they think they're so cool! Anyways I set my phone down and decide it's time to wake up. So, I roll over to where I'm straddling Chris's waist and I kiss him sweetly. He wraps his arms around my hips and kisses me back. "I could get used to waking up like this." He says in his oh so sexy sleepy voice. "Let's get up and make breakfast!" I get off of him and go into our closet and pick out some white pants and a black t-shirt. I don't bother with shoes because I think they are over rated. Unless we go somewhere that requires shoes which is ridiculous. When I come out Chris is wearing some jeans and a blue shirt. He takes my hand and we walk down stairs. When we get into the kitchen some of the moms give us a knowing smile and I blush. "Chris, I need to tell Sarah about our engagement. She doesn't know yet!" I say excitedly. I run off to find Sarah when suddenly my world seems to freeze. I stop mid step as a light flashes. I see feral snarling wolves going at each other and I hear what sounds like a baby cry. I also see wedding bells. When my vision comes back into focus Sarah is shaking my shoulders and yelling my name. "Sarah?" she looks relieved and envelopes me in a tight hug. "Oh my gosh are you okay?" she asks looking really worried. "Yeah, I was actually just looking for you. Look!" I show her the ring Chris gave me and she squeals like a teenager. "Oh my gosh it's gorgeous!!!! When did he ask you??" I tell her about the sweet way Chris proposed and when I'm done she is crying tears of joy. "I'm so happy for you! Did you set a date?" I shake my head no and she looks at me wide eyed. "Well girlfriend we need to get started!" I look at her confused. "But how can we plan a wedding if there is a war going on?" she gives me a reassuring smile. "River I know this war is taking its toll on you, but I really think this will help take your mind off of things." "Okay, let's gets planning." about four or five hours later the living room is filled with bridal magazines, flower design guides, venue magazines, honey moon location magazines, even wedding food magazines! So far we have gotten a general idea for my wedding. What kind of dress I will look for, flavors of cake, flowers, colors, venues. We can't officially start booking anything until we set a date. Which Sarah said is for Chris and I to decide together. We clean up the living room and I go outside and sit in the grass. I take my necklace off and just lay there sunning my white fur. I really miss this. Avalon and I would lay by the lake and swim and play and just sun our fur. I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I hear a deathly feral growl. When I hop up I'm not at all prepared for what I find. I see Dan and my pack. My poor dead pack. I internally whimper as I look at the faces of my loved ones. Then I see them. My sweet sister and father. Only this time they aren't so sweet. This time they are here to kill me. I guess it's true what they say. Always expect the unexpected.
