Chapter 17: Wedding Day!!

River's POV

It has been three months since the big fight. Currently I am in a big guest room that has been converted into a makeup and hair room. Sarah and I are getting ready for my wedding day. That's right. Chris and I are getting married today!!! Sarah finished my hair and makeup. When I look in the mirror the make up is light pink and my hair falls down my back in beautiful spiral curls. She helps me put on my wedding dress and we are good to go. I help her slip on her brides maid dress (pic will be in next chapter.) and we walk out to the car to go to the park where Chris and I will become husband and wife. When we get there everyone is seated in white chairs and Chris and Jake are standing at the end of the isle with the preacher. Sarah goes up the isle first and stands the opposite side of the isle. Then I start walking. Everyone stands up and looks at me. I grip my bouquet of white roses tightly and make my way up the isle. Chris looks so handsome in his suit. When I get to him I give Sarah my flowers and take Chris's hands. Everyone sits down and the preacher starts. "Friends. Loved ones. We are gathered here today to celebrate the Union of this young couple. If any one has any reason why these two should not be wed, speak now. Or forever hold your peace." It is dead silent and the preacher continues. "Chris and River have prepared their vows." Chris pulls out a piece of paper from his suit pocket. "River, you are my love, my life. My forever. I promise to love you for all eternity. I promise to hold your hand in sickness and in health and I promise to be loyal to you and only you. Today is the beginning of our forever, I will cherish these times with you always. I love you my sweet River." I wipe my tears away and pull my paper out of my dress. "Chris, the day we first met I saved you from a bear. You took me in and nursed me back to health. Neither one of us knew we where mates then. But I felt drawn to you. I knew you where meant to be someone very special in my life. The day you gave me this necklace and have me this chance to walk beside you on two legs. Right then I knew we would be together. So baby, let's start our forever." I look into his eyes and he looks teary eyed. "After that there is nothing else to say. Please exchange rings and you may kiss your bride." We exchange the rings and Chris pulls me in for a sweet kiss. When we break apart everyone is cheering. Chris picks me up and carries me back down the isle. Then we all go in this cute reception hall and have dinner and Chris and I cut the cake and feed each other cake and drink champagne while our arms are linked. Then we have our first dance as husband and wife. We dance to we danced by Brad Paisley. I put my hand on his shoulder and hold his other hand while his free had is around my waist. We spin around and he twirls and dips me. We dance slowly while never breaking eye contact. Then he leans down and kisses me. When we break apart everyone comes on to the dance floor and we all dance for a little while longer until I need to get changed to leave for our honey moon. Sarah takes me to a changing room and I get out of my wedding dress and into a knee length one shouldered blush pink dress and white ballet flats. She then leaves to put my luggage into Chris's car. I leave the room and meet Chris to walk out to the car. "My beautiful bride." He kisses my cheek and grabs my hand. We walk outside and there are people on either side of the path an they are all holding sparklers. We run through the path and we hug our loved ones and get into the car. Wave out the window and we drive off to the airport where we will go to our surprise destination that Chris will not tell me about. I honestly don't care as long as we are together.
