River's POV
"River, it's time to wake up." I open my eyes and Chris and I are in a car. "Where are we?" I look out the window but I'm half asleep. So, everything looks haze. "We are almost at back to the pack house." I nod my head and yawn. Chris laughs, "Sleep love." He keeps his eyes on the road and holds my hand and drives with the other. I close my eyes... When I wake up again I'm in my pajamas and all tucked in. I'm about to close my eyes again when Chris comes into the room. "River, you've slept over half the day. Do you want something to eat?" When he mentions food my stomach starts rumbling. "I'll take that as a yes. Let's go get food." I reach my arms out to him. "Carry me." He picks me up and puts me in his back. I cling to him like a monkey and he puts his hands under my thighs to keep me up. We go into the kitchen and he sets me down. I sit at the breakfast nook and watch Chris as he cooks. When he's done we both eat and by the time we're done I'm ready for another nap. I lay my head down and Chris rubs my back. "River, do you want to go back to bed?" I nod my head and Chris carries me back to bed. He sits in a chair and holds my hand. "River, I'm worried about you sleeping so much. I squeeze his hand. "I'm okay darling. No need to worry."
"Are you wearing a new perfume?" I sake my head no. "Well, to add to your beautiful scent of woods and honey suckle you also smell like lilacs." Weird. A scent change? In my old pack our scent would change when the she-wolf became pregnant... oh. My. Gosh. "Chris?" I sit up and run into the bathroom. "River?" I lift my shirt and look in the mirror and sure enough there is a small bump. I look at Chris and his eyes are so big. "... I'm pregnant!" His face breaks out in a huge smile and he picks me up and spins me around. He hugs me close. "We're gonna be a family." He kneels down an puts his hands on my small bump. It is true what they say. Family is everything.
Hey guys. Sorry it's so short. I pre wrote it on notebook paper in my history class and my weekend was too busy to update. There is one chapter left. I might not do a sequel because no body is commenting their vote. If you haven't go back to chapter 16.
