"Run and hide, it's gonna be bad tonight - cause here comes your devil side."
HIS SIDE
I held her to my chest, rushing into the warehouse, one of our many safe houses. Somewhere off the grid, where no one would find it.
The entire building lit up inside, a small part set up for the detective. I placed her down on the bed, my attention being pulled away when John walked in with her.
Mack Harrington, someone who could potentially keep the detective alive long enough until the Doc showed up.
She shouted out, rushing towards the detective immediately, dropping down next to her while crying out, taking in her pale state.
I walked around, watching as John went over to assist Mack. A few minutes passing when Ace walked in alongside Dominic, one of our security guys.
The tension in the room shifting when my eyes landed on both Detective Wesley and Doctor William Van Meyer, causing my eyes to widen because I never believed the two of them would be in the same room together.
"What did you do to her!" Wesley shouted running over towards Mack when William caught his arm.
"Just take a second, our main focus is on keeping her alive." William snapped, staring at Wesley.
I rolled my eyes at the both of them, "Good to see Alexander Van Meyers praised son and bastard one." I spat out, clenching my fists.
Wesley rose an eyebrow, going to snap back when Mack called out for William. Everyone rushing around in panic mode when I snuck out back.
Grabbing a cigarette and placing it between my lips, lighting it up and inhaling deeply. Not wanting to be in there as they tried to fix the damage that was done.
Knowing that one of these days they wouldn't be able to fix her.
She was crumbling , I've seen it before in men who just returned home from war, the ones who don't know what to do with themselves when their not constantly fighting.
They begin to lose their minds, a tiny bit at a time until all is gone, which is why many soldiers take their own lives after the war is done.
While some end up snapping, losing their minds and killing innocent people.
That night when she killed Kimberly was shocking but that was nothing compared to what she did at the docks.
Saving the kidnapped girls, along with her childhood friend - killing every single man that was in the room, without another thought.
The detective who started her career with never firing her weapon, one who lost her sanity day by day when Aaron Clyde entered her life.
He's the man that made the detective mad, slowly turning into the killer she's become today.
"What the hell happened?" Wesley snapped, walking out into the hall.
Both Mack and William working on the Detective, while John and Dominic worked on tracking the Clyde's location.
I brought a hand down my face, pulling out my phone to play the recording, knowing it needed to be taped in case she didn't make it.
