Chapter 39: New Predacon Rider

(Night felt more calm. She wouldn't look at Megatron each day since their argument about her truth of her parents. But Starscream thought of something interesting)

Star was at a different monitor, searching what a Night fury is. Sees that some dragons have human riders. Was wondering is there was a predacon rider before. But, he had a lot to learn. Night was in the berth room. Their kids were playing around on the flight deck. Star walks in the berth room, "Hi Nightmare." He greets and tells her what he thinks.

"They're called dragon riders. And I don't think there's been a predacon rider before, hon. You wanna be the first?",she asked him. He nodded. She explains everything about a dragon rider. Later, they go to the flight deck and the kids were watching. Nightmare turns to her predacon form, a Titanium Banshee. There were long tubes on the back of her head as a Ikran. Starscream tries to get on her back. She shrieks a bit. He's been on her back before, this is their first test. The tubes suddenly wrap around his arms. "What the??",he said and starts pulling to let go. Night shrieks harshly, stands up and flaps her wings. "It won't let go!",he shouted and was freaking out. "Daddy! Relax!",Dreamweaver said.

"Weaver, not the time!",Star said, and Night was jumping up and down like a horse. The tubes let go and Star falls forward and hits the floor. Night snorts and helps him up with her snot. She transforms, "You alright?"

"Yeah, what was that??",he asked her. "You'll get used to it.. guess you're not ready."

"What?",he said, looked a bit sad.

"I said you're not ready, hon. You have to get used to it.",she said.

"But.. well.. next time I guess..",he looked down.

(Next day, they try again)

Star was on her back,"Okay, let's trying again." Night snorts. Her long tubes start doing the same thing as yesterday. Star tries not to freak out again, he relaxes. They didn't go on a real flight yet. Few hours later, Starscream made a dragon saddle with Knockout. "I still don't understand why you want to do this, Starscream.",Knockout said and looked at him.

"I told you, there's never been a predacon rider before, so I wish to be the first one in our history.",Star said proudly. Knockout rolled his optics. "You always want to be the first one. Leader, then Predacon rider?". Star nodded.

"Night still thinks I'm not ready to go on a real flight.".

"What about the other flight?",Knockout asked him. Said that the flight with the northern lights didn't count. So, they finish making the saddle.

Later on, Night was waiting outside on the deck with her kids. He walks towards them and shows the saddle. Night was surprised. They try again and again every day. The kids were watching every day as well. Star had to fix the saddle to get ready for his final day. But, inside Night, still think he isn't ready, but gives him a chance.

They were up in the air. Starscream chuckles nervously, and looks down a bit. Night grumbles a bit lowly. "Okay, nice and slow.",he said and looks behind him to make sure he's doing everything correctly. She starts to turn a bit and Star hangs on.

Nightmare dives down. He still hangs up, thinking this is easy. They go up to the clouds, but Star relaxes and the tubes let go of him. "Nightmare!",he shouts, and she was falling back, roaring. Star transformed, Night couldn't fly back up backwards.

"Come on, Night!! Flap! Flap your wings!!",he shouted and goes after her, but he gets hit. Goes back on her on her back, but Night shrieks. The wind was pressing her wings back which makes it hard to flap. They were headed towards rock columns. "Gah!!",Star wraps the tubes around his arms and control the turning. He was getting the hang of it. They make it through and Night was happy that he did it. She blasts fire from her mouth proud. They had back to the ship. "Did you do it? Did you do it?",the twins asked them.

Night nods. Starscream gets off, "Well.. we did it.".She grumbles and puts her snot on his face, he smiled. Put both servos on her face and places his forehead on hers, she closes her optics slowly.

Megatron was inside the ship, inside the control room. He saw everything and grunts a bit lowly.

Outside, "Yeah, daddy! Now you're the first predacon rider!",Alexandrite said and jumps in his arms excited. He chuckles.

Night transforms normal, and has a warm smile on her face. Looks up at the sky, wonders what would happen next. Hoping no danger coming.

We'll see...
