Chapter 47: Extinction of the Predacons

(Next day, Night was minding her own business by checking on the Predacon with Starscream. Their kids were inside.)

The Predacon aka Predaking was in his beast mode. Nightmare didn't like him at all because he tried to attack her mate. Predaking and Night fought each other, when Starscream wanted to put him back in his kennel and wasn't co-operating with him. Star used the apex armor, but didn't work. Night got pissed and turns into her beast mode. They started scratching each other and even biting. Night was a bit stronger than him, so she grabbed him by his neck and bit him really hard and didn't let go, until he stopped. Predaking shrieks. Night drags him to the kennel, and Star closes the door. Night transforms back to normal.

"Thanks, Night. I knew I couldn't have done it without your help.",Star said.

"You shouldn't have shocked him on his leg. That's what triggered and made him breathe fire at you.",she said back at him.

"Sorry, later we're going to Shockwave's laboratory for Project predacon."

"Who'll watch the kids?",she asked.

"They're big enough to watch themselves",he said.

Later, Megatron, Starscream and Nightmare go to a cave and it was a bit dark inside. Star thought it was one of the mines, so he felt freaked out. Night sensed it in him. She holds his hand, telling him not to freak out. It was Shockwave's laboratory, full of predacons who were cloned, each were a different type of beast. "Oh.. my.."

"This isn't right..",Night said and walks towards one of the cases. She puts her servo on the case and through her hand, hears a slowly heart beat of the predacon, notice they're alive. Removes her hand and was slightly amazed.She sighs. Shockwave and Megatron talk about Project predacon and what they're gonna be used for.

At the ship, Knockout bring some green energon to the cave. Thunder and Lightning were crashing outside and it started raining. Predaking was on the edge of the ship and sees the cave. Knockout drops off the stuff. The energon was explosive, puts it near the corner of the machine. The ground starts rumbling as Predaking storms in and shrieks. "You miserable beast, you dare to leave the ship without permission...!",Star said, hits him with a bar and Predaking shrieks at him. Star gets startled and falls back. Night goes in front of her mate. Faces Predaking, "A predacon should always show himself.",she said in a cybertronian language. Predaking shrieks again and transforms full body. Megatron was surprised.

Predaking looks at Starscream, "Strike me again, and the bar will go through your spark".

Night suddenly draws her blade on her arm, "Try me.. and this sword will go through your spark". They both growled at each other.

"I didn't know that the beast was capable of transformation.",Starscream said.

"Nor did I",Megatron said and looked at Shockwave.

"I knew, I sensed it.",Night said as well.

"I am no beast.",Predaking said and walks passed Star and Night. Night helps Star up.

Somehow Night sensed some feelings in Predaking and he doesn't even know it. He looked at one of the predacons in the glass case. "So the rumors are true, I won't be alone",he said.

"No one should be alone, Predaking. These are just clones made by Shockwave.",Night looked at him. "Now you have to answer to Megatron or Shockwave."

(Hours later)

The Autobots get a signal of the mine and arrived. Opened fired on a few Vehicons. Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus were teamed up to go down, and discovered Shockwave's Laboratory full of Predacons. Shockwave was by the console and sees them. He contacts Starscream about the problem. Star terminates the link, "What are you doing, my liege?",Night asked him. A moment later, she now realized what he was doing and so did Knockout. Starscream gives her a grinning smile. When Shockwave was about to leave, he triggers an electrical surge to the cloning tanks and the liquid from the beast cloning tanks start to drain out. Shockwave gets out through a groundbridge by Soundwave. Star reports the Autobots that have taken possession of the Predacon clones when he told Night to stay with the kids. Megatron orders his seeker armada, but Predaking wanted to go alone and get the Autobots. Night couldn't stand what they were doing, so she teleported herself to the Autobots to help them out. Hoping that Star wouldn't find out.

The Predacons were waking up. Wheeljack sees the synthetic energon in the corner of the room and Ultra Magnus allows him to throw a grenade at the energon. Outside, the other bots were loading some regular energon into their base. Night appears, "Guys..!".

"Night, what are you doing here?",Arcee asked her. When Night was about to speak, there was an explosion in the mine.

"What was that??",Arcee said serious. Night and Optimus looked at the mines and felt something wrong. All the Predacons were dead, gone, while Predaking stares in horror of what happened. "What have you done to my brethren? What have you done?!",he says in rage and attacks at Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus. Wheeljack uses his hand guns, two swords and his electric lasso. Ultra Magnus uses a hammer, "Forge of Solus Prime". In the attack, they combine their forces against Predaking. But Predaking lifts the stalactite and uses it as a weapon to knock Ultra Magnus to the ground and crush Wheeljack against a wall. When Magnus tries to reach for the hammer, Predaking jumps and crushes his hand. He screams in pain. It was a pleasure that they started to work and serve together. Predaking breaks the hammer in half and drops it in front of Magnus.

"Prepare to perish",he said and when he was about to attack again, Night Prime, a fusion of Optimus and Nightmare, fly in and punched the Predacon hard to the far wall. When he was slightly knocked out, Night Prime uses her gatling gun on the ceiling, so lots of rubble can come down on Predaking. Night grabs her comrades. The Predacon come out again and looks at Night as they fly off. "What?! No!!",Predaking shouted and ran after them. They make it out and now he started flying after them. A ground bridge opens for them. When Predaking throws a fireball at them, they make through the portal. Predaking roars in rage.

(At the new base)

Optimus and Nightmare unfuse, and she leaves the base. Ultra Magnus was on the medbed while Ratchet was operating on his hand.

"What you were referring earlier.. what can be greater than an army...?",Ultra Magnus asked Optimus.

"What I've learned on this planet is a human concept... family",Optimus said and everyone, including Melody looked and gathered around and smiled.

(At the ship)

Megatron and Predaking weren't happy. Megatron promises Predaking that they will make the Autobots pay for what they've done to the Predacons. Star walks in the kids' room, and Night was with them.

"Dad? What happened?",Weaver asked, and he didn't know how to explain what happened at the mines. "I'll explain later",he said as he crouched down to his three kids. But then Star was called again by Megatron.

"Aww, we never get to spend time with you, daddy..",Alex looked at him. He sighs.

"I know..",Star said and walked out away.

In the lab, Shockwave discovers something in the ruins that Megatron must see. So, Megatron and Starscream take a groundbridge to the mines, and Nightmare senses it, but it didn't feel right to her. They were all stunned to find large or pure cyber-matter, which was used to be created by Decepticon citadel. Shockwave theorizes that it was created by the CNA of the Predacons and Knockout's synthetic energon. Night can see everything through her mate's eyes and was also surprised.
