part 6

Annabeth POV: It's the middle of the night and I can't sleep so I walk out on deck to get a bit of air and see Emma and Nico sitting against the side of the ship, chatting quietly. just as I'm about to walk over Aphrodite appears in front of me

"AWWW THEY'RE ONE OF THE CUTEST COUPLES EVER BESIDES YOU AND PERCY!" she half yells. oh my gods Emma and nico are a couple now?!

"how long....?" I start

"just 1 hour 3 minutes and 13 seconds"

"wow not long but looks like a very happy relationship so far" says Piper who must've come up here behind me and heard the whole thing.

"yes it does look like a happy one" says Aphrodite to Piper who looks like she regrets speaking at all. I sneak back downstairs and sit in the stables and eventually fall asleep

I'm lost. hopelessly lost. I look fearfully around and see the lifeless bodies of everyone I know and love and standing above them is...Luke. I reach for my dagger and remember that I lost it a year ago. I look around for a weapon and just as I reach for riptide, a hand wraps around my neck and pulls me into the darkness

"Annabeth wake up! It's okay it's just a dream you're okay" I open my eyes and sit up and cry. I feel an arm wrap around my shoulders and relax a little bit.

"you want to talk about it?" asks Percy, gently running his other hand through my hair

"it was horrible. all you guys were dead and it was Luke who had killed you all and I was going to fight him but he grabbed me and pulled me away" I sob.

"it'll be okay I won't let him or anyone or anything hurt you I swear it on the Styx" he whispers.

"thanks seaweed brain" I say as I drift off into a dreamless sleep knowing that Percy will always be there for me.
