2 days later

Emma POV: "happy birthday" I sit up in my little sleeping bag and smile as Hayley walks in with a muffin. what I know is that this is like each year but what I don't know is that she's going to be killed soon. but now I know

"happy birthday" I wake up and smile up at nico who's holding a muffin.... with a candle in it. how did he know? I smile as I take it and he attempts to sit on the bed next to me but misses. I laugh as he stands up and manages to sit on the bed this time.

"So. What do you want to do before tonight?"

"I don't know. Maybe head to the gym, practice archery, chill with the others...." Suddenly there's a scream. Of pain. And fear. A scream that makes my heart stop and my blood run cold. Nico and I exchange glances and run downstairs. First thing we see is a spider and annabeth half hidden behind Percy. I roll my eyes and laugh.

That night around midnight

As the clock strikes midnight all the flowers suddenly bloom. I smile up at nico who smiles back down at me, leans in and we kiss. When we pull apart we head downstairs to go to bed. Best. Night. Ever!

Two days later

Emma POV: the first thing I see on Monday when I walk into music is a new girl sitting alone in a corner. I shrug and walk over to sit next to her and smile.
"Hi" I say happily
"Hi" she murmurs
"I'm Emma what's your name?" I say, trying to make conversation
"I'm rose" she says quietly.
"Want to sit with me and my friends at lunch?" I say, smiling brightly
"Okay. Can my two friends sit with us too?" She asks hopefully
"Yeah. What are their names?"
"Billie and David" she says happily. (A/N any other doctor.who fans here??)
I'm just about to reply when the teacher walks in.
