a month later (they had to go in that one day for the swimming gala)

Annabeth POV: "hey you!" I spin around to look at Lola. its the day of the swimming gala between Goode, Meriwether prep and Yancy academy. I'm just here for seaweed brain. I think Lola is too.

"look here Blondie, Percy is mine okay?! I've known him since we were 15 alright so lay off him" she says angrily. I laugh and she scowls.

"what's so funny huh?" she says, pinning me against a wall.

"I've known him since we were 12 and we have saved each other's lives countless times" I say just as the teams walk out. Lola throws me down and smiles flirtatiously at Percy as he walks over and helps me up and kisses me.

"WHAT THE HECK?! WHAT DO YOU SEE IN HER?!" Lola screams, her voice echoing off the walls.

"where to start? well first off I've known her since we were 12, she's the most beautiful person I've ever seen, she's smart, sweet and one of the most amazing girls I know" he says and I blush.

"OKAY TEAM HUDDLE UP!" the coach calls

"see you later" percy and I say to each other in unison. I laugh and sit next to hazel. who I feel kinda bad for. she's still 14, Emma's 15 and Nico's 16. so she's the youngest but she's still treated equally and not third wheel. I watch as Percy walks to the starting line and gets ready to go. I look nervously at the others who all look equally nervous. except Emma who's talking to three people I don't know. probably friends of hers

"3.....2........1 GO!" and they're off. by the time everyone's turning around, Percy's getting out. and we all go crazy. we won.

"And this years winners are Goode high!" there's an eruption of cheers and claps and a few moans from the losing teams. seeing as everyone's allowed to go congratulate the winners whenever, I hop over the fence thing and run to Percy

"good job seaweed brain" I say, laughing.

"why thank you wise girl" he says and kisses me. it's perfect until

"GO AWAY FROM MY BOYFRIEND!" we pull apart and I glare at Lola who shoves me and of course I'm not lucky and I fall backwards into the pool.

Percy POV: oh no!

"go away Lola" I snap so angrily that she scampers off. then I jump into the pool to help annabeth. I grab her waist and swim to the surface. I lift her out first and climb out after her. by the time I did that, our friends had run over.

"who's this?" says Jacques, slightly confused.

"yeah" say my three other friends, Jakson, Emile and Arabella in unison.

"guys this is my very real girlfriend, annabeth" I say as the rest of my friends run over. I look down at annabeth and my heart stops. she's not breathing.

"uhhhhhh guys"

"CPR" is my one reply it's obvious who that came from. after 2 minutes of me doing CPR, annabeth coughs and opens her eyes.

"are you alright?!" I ask, totally worried about her and she nods. I grab my towel and wrap it around her and run to get dressed. when I get back I pick annabeth up,bridal style, and we leave. by the time we get home I have to wake annabeth up. I dry her off and wait outside her room while she gets changed. when she walks out, I hug her tightly. I will get Lola back for that because NOBODY throws or shoves my wise girl into water like that. well except me because I'd only be messing around.

"Want to watch a movie?" I ask quietly and she nods.

"yeah".

"alright then. I'll be back in one sec and you just head into bed and get comfortable while I get snacks" I say and she smiles and walks into her room. I run into the kitchen, grab cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and hot chocolate and then head upstairs.
