part 12

Annabeth POV: after lunch we head for a walk in the park. I sit down on a bench while everyone else plays football. after a while a girl sits down next to me.

"hi I'm keri and you must be annabeth chase" she says. I go to run away but she stands up and changes into a Ker. I scream just as she swoops down and bites my leg. Percy stabs it with riptide and it disappears. I collapse into Percy's arms, crying in pain. I feel Percy pick me up. being careful not to hurt me. I open my eyes to see everyone looking at me with concern well nearly everyone. Emma isn't there. as if reading my thoughts Percy leans down and whispers

"she's gone to get help" I don't even have to ask. she's definitely gone as far as Olympus to get help. it's obvious really.

Percy POV: I carry annabeth back home and lay her gently onto her bed and hold her hand gently.after what seems like hours Apollo finally walks in.

"so. what's the emergency?" he says 

"ker bite" Emma says, walking in with a glass of diet coke. I stifle a laugh at her red face and crazy hair.

"I ran okay don't laugh" she says, giving me an angry look.

"okay. everyone take a step back" we all jump back and watch as Apollo holds his hands over annabeth's leg and the bite slowly fades. I sigh in relief and bite my lip nervously

"will she be okay?"I ask

"yes. she'll be grand now I'd better head off but I'll see you guys soon" Apollo says and leaves. I look down at annabeth, still worried.

"she'll be grand in about hmmmm by the looks of it a week and yes before you ask you can stay here with her" says Emma, reassuringly.

"okay. thanks oh and how fast did you run exactly?" I say

"well it took about 3 minutes for me to get to Olympus" she says. well someone should sign up for track. I pull annabeth's desk chair over next to her bed and sit down.

Emma POV: "ON YOUR MARKS........ GET SET.......GO!" I break into a full on run way ahead of everyone else. it's the schools running championship and its Goode against Yancy academy, Clear water prep, Grinnsly Academy for girls and Saltwater high. the winners get a $10,000 prize and 2 months break. I cross the finish line and the school erupts into applause and screams of delight. the whole track group runs out and we do our usual group hug.
