2 weeks later

Annabeth POV: the school is yet again competing in another race against 3 other schools. Even though she's younger than the competitors, Emma still insisted on racing against them. So here we are, waiting for the racers to come out.
"Percy?" I look up at a girl who I don't know
"Nancy what are you doing here?" Says Percy in a not so exited voice.
"I'm racing of course and when I win you'll be my boyfriend and if I lose then you can choose who you want" she says
"Yeah like that's gonna happen" mutters somebody behind her.
"Oh. It's gonna happen if I race against you" nancy ,I think it was,sneers I block the rest out and hope that Emma wins. 1. The school gets 2 months off and 2. This nancy one will have to stay away from Percy.
"ANNNND THEYRE OFF!" I jump suddenly as Jordan Lee yells enthusiastically into the mic. I lean forward hopeful that Emma would win.
"AND THE WINNERS ARE GOODE HIGH" Jordan yells as the crowd goes nuts. Our running team walks victoriously off, carrying Emma on their shoulders with the trophy and the others storm angrily off. Best day ever!
