that night

Annabeth POV: I'm lost. its useless trying to find my way out of this place. "hello?!" I yell, hoping that someone will hear me.
"choose" a voice grumbles somewhere in the shadows. I look around. what do I choose from?
"choose!" the voice snaps.
"what can I choose from? there's nothing there" I cry. suddenly there's light. and spiders. thousands of them. and one of them is....... arachne. I try to run away but fall. I'm paralyzed by fear as the spiders crawl all over me. I clamp my mouth shut and the scene changes. Luke. I step back and every time I step back, he comes at me. I scream for help as he catches me and shoves me into a dark pit and I fall into everlasting darkness

Percy POV: I'm just chilling out when there's a rapid knocking on my bedroom door. I get up and open it and look down at Emma, confused

"perce. its an emergency. I tried to wake her up but..." that's all I needed to hear. I sprinted out and down the stairs, waking everyone in the progress except for annabeth and nico. I run into annabeth's room and attempt to wake her up. after what feels like hours but was only 10 minutes, she shoots up in her bed and screams. I take that as an opportunity to pull her into a tight, comforting hug.

"percy?" she whispers

"yeah?"

"will you stay here with me for the night?" she asks hopefully

"of course I will" I say and lie down next to her and she curls up next to me, her head on my chest.

"goodnight" I whisper but she's already asleep
