Sunset Boulevard, 1981.
(Gwen's point of view)

I spent the entire morning pining over the sudden news from last night. Jane was after Nikki. I knew he would be thrown in the garbage can, like his friend, Tommy, soon but I didn't like how he was with someone I absolutely despised. It irked me to know he would go for such a wench. I knew it was a game to him. I was right to not put my trust in him.

After I spent my entire morning pining, I went to work with Chrissy and to my surprise Jane was actually there working with her mother, Janice. I really was shocked to see her in uniform, but what got to me was that she kept giving me a death stare my entire shift.

Anytime I would go near the bar to grab orders, she would be over Chrissy's shoulder, eyeing me and the orders she was preparing. I wanted nothing more than to give her an offensive gesture but I couldn't risk my job for it. Instead, I would give her an overzealous grin out of spite. It was something I could get away with, and it piss her off even more knowing I was innocent.

I was sick of her death stares and her prolonged standing behind Chrissy, who was already tense. It wasn't until she approached me was when I nearly broke the nice, spiteful character I was playing.

"How are you feeling, Gwen?" Jane asked me.

I stood behind the bar, waiting for Chrissy to finish making a round of tequila shots. I took a brief second to collect my thoughts so I knew what to say.

"Just peachy. An you?" I hummed.

"Perfectly fine. In fact, I feel great. Tingly, but great." She put her hand on the wood of the bar to lean against it. "Wanna know why I feel tingly?"

Oh, gag me with a spoon! Why is she bringing something like this up at work?

"I feel like I know what you're gonna say, but I'm not sure if I," She cut me off.

"You know there is a reason when everyone says the name Nikki Sixx, they always put fuckin' in between his first and last name. I mean, no wonder why!" She release a moan from the back of her throat. "The man fucks me sore. He's so amazing."

I clenched my jaw and stared straight forward.
'Just hold your tongue, Gwen. And it will all be over with.' I thought.

"I might consider keeping him around for a while." She chuckled. "He's very good at what he does with his fingers. Bass players really do know their shit."

I wanted nothing more than to turn to her and bust her one across the face. This spiteful whore-

"Shots are ready, girl." Chrissy said, holding the tray out for me to take.

"Thank God." I mumbled, taking it from her grasp.

She gave me wide eyes as if to say "be careful". I only gave her a small smile before taking the tray and walking away with it. While walking to the table to serve them their drinks, I nearly ran into someone.

"Sorry!" I hissed, nearly hitting their leather jacket with my tray of tequila.

I took a glance at the person to realize it was Tommy. I only remembered it was him because he was very tall and had voluminous brown hair.

"You're cool, Gwen." He grinned at me with a crazed look in his hazel eyes. "By the way, can I get more Jack? Jane isn't as nice as she was before and the rest of the guys are coming over soon. It'd be nice if I had a spare to grab on the way out, ya know?"

"Sure." I muttered, turning around to continued my work.

I did like Tommy not only because he was the youngest and most innocent from what I knew of, but also because he seemed to be very kind and understanding.

"Oh, Gwen! Hold up!" I heard Tommy call for me. Annoyed, I turned around and let my blue stare invade his hazel ones.

"Yeah?" I sighed, frustrated.

"We're going to the Starwood tomorrow night if you wanted to join us?" He asked.

I forced my eyebrows together. "Who's we?"

Tommy shrugged. "Just me, Vince, maybe his new girlfriend?" He wiggled his eyebrows. "Mick, Chrissy, and,"

Please don't say Nikki and Jane. Oh dear god! Anyone but Nikki and Jane!

"Nikki." Tommy said. "Maybe Jane too."

"I don't know, Tommy." I shook my head. "Maybe another time?" I suggested but Tommy wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Oh, come on, Gwen! It'll be fun!" He attempted to coax me. "I promise I won't make any moves on you or anything, if that's what you're thinking." He chuckled.

I finally ripped myself from my irritated state to crack a smile. "No, I'm not thinking that at all."

"Okay, good. You're not my type anyways." He said, letting out a deep laugh. "So? Would you like to come with us tomorrow?"

I hesitated and thought about the situation in my head as I gripped the tray of tequila shots. What if Nikki has Jane with him? What if she fires me from my job? I couldn't think straight. All I knew was that when I opened my mouth, the answer just came flying out.

"Sure!"

Fuck. My. Life.
