Nikki's Apartment, 1981.
(Gwen's point of view)There was a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach after I talked to Nikki about last night. It wasn't the morning hunger I had usually experienced. No. It was the feeling I got when someone wasn't telling me something. I never had that feeling happen too often since Chrissy is the only person I tell everything to but this feeling was intense, and by the way Nikki answered me earlier, I could tell he knew something that I didn't. I just knew for certain that he knew something and wasn't telling me.
"Breakfast?" Nikki asked me.
I was finally exiting his bedroom after a restful night. Maybe I should get drugged more often, even though the pounding headache and the memory loss wasn't settling too well with me.
I looked at the wall clock above the couch.
"It's one in the afternoon." I grumbled, rubbing my tired face with my hand."Yeah," Nikki grinned. "But its like eight in the morning to us." He said, gesturing to him and Tommy.
"Hey, Gwen." Tommy said, making my head turn. "I have a hairbrush in the bathroom if you wanna use it. You look like you had a rough night."
I sighed, knowing how much work that was going to take. I already knew my hair looked like a mess just by feeling it with my hand. So I silently removed myself from their living room, being careful not the step on any burnt roaches that Tommy had killed.
(Tommy's point of view)
I was calmly looking at my magazine that I had purchased the other day. I was toning it down after I spent nearly all morning burning cockroaches with my lighter and Nikki's hairspray.
Gwen was in the bathroom doing the necessities while Nikki laid on the couch with his feet propped on the end. After how crazy Gwen was acting last night, we were both tired. We barely spoke to one another but I was quite surprised when Nikki didn't say anything rude to Gwen. Not even an impolite gesture was made by him.
When he would say things to her, it would either end with them arguing or it would end with them not speaking to each other. I found it funny. He only did those things because he has the hots for her, majorly. He knew it would get her attention the moment they first met. He isn't always an arrogant asshole. He only teases her and says those things because he's taken a liking to her. I've questioned him about his taste in girls many times before, but with Gwen, I could see them having something special. He has told me all the details about how he really feels about her, and I'm happy for him.But today he was different. When she came out of his room, he didn't say anything offending to her or anything. I found this strange because I understood that it was a love-(pretend)hate relationship between them. Now that he was being nice to her and not saying any smart remarks, I was left confused.
