Riverdale Betty's POV

"What the HELL?!" I woke and looked up to see Arch, Kevin, Fangs, Toni, Sweet Pea and Jug staring in at the four of us. I looked around the car and realized how the four of us actually looked like two couples.

We were all awake but seemed to be frozen which told me that everyone else in the car just woke up too. Cheryl was leaning back with both her arms around Veronica who had her head on C's shoulder. Peter and I were in a similar situation but since he's taller, my head was on his chest.

I looked and V and she suddenly said, "Oh sorry. Can you give us a second? We were all resting after being up so late last night." C started to close the door but V reached across and opened it just enough to pull Kevin in.

She then closed it all the way while shouting "We will be back in 5 minutes." V then called to the driver to drive around the block while the rest of our friends stood in the parking lot in stunned silence. I couldn't force myself to look at Arch or Jug and for a moment I felt guilty.

Until Kevin started laughing and said "Wow! Did you plan that?"

V said, "No, we were actually asleep. That's why I didn't text you on the way. Why did you all open our door?"

Kevin shrugged and answered, "We all saw your car pull up and sit there for a minute or two. Then Archie got impatient and stormed out to open the door. The rest of us just followed him. Man is he pissed now."

C smiled "Serves him right for what he did to Betts" she purred. All of a sudden, I don't feel so guilty now.

"Everything seems to going according to plan" Kevin said

"We made a few adjustments" V said and filled him in on the casual dating until Homecoming part.

He smiled "I love it! We can tell them about it at the end. Btw we hit a bit of a snag. The rest of the school knows about what Jug and Arch were up to. Evidently the football team of all people figured it out and they spread it to everyone else. The team wants to kill Arch and the rest of the guys aren't too happy with Jug."

I looked up and said "Hmm.. since they all know, maybe we can speed up the time line and do the big reveal tonight? Instead of at the party? It just seems too cruel now." and the rest agreed. By that time the car had pulled back into the parking lot. We see the rest of our friends sitting in a booth watching us out the window with dark eyes. We all piled out of the car, laughing and hugging. Peter and I get out last. He crawled out and then helped me. Just as I was about to step out, he picked me up and swung me around. He then gently put me down in front of him so that my back is to the diner. He waved the rest of the group ahead and looked down at me and pulled me close.

"I know that some of this is acting but it's not for me. I like you and I want you but I also want you to feel comfortable so please tell me right away if something isn't ok for you, agreed?" he whispered in my ear. I smiled and nodded. I then leaned back to look at him and softly kissed him on the lips.

He smirked and whispered, "Well, I loved that but it's going to piss a few people off". I blushed and turned and started walking arm in arm into the building that was usually an oasis for me but tonight was filled with stormy eyes.

Jughead's POV

I reached the car just in time to hear Arch yell "What the HELL?!" and see Betts open her big beautiful green eyes.

She looked around confused and I realized that she was sleeping in the arms of another guy. Not just any guy either, it's the same guy that's been with her all week. My stomach dropped and my blood boiled and I am both afraid and angry at the same time. Afraid that I've lost her and angry that this prick took her. Before any one can react though, we heard V asking for a second and saying they were sleeping because they were all up late. She grabbed Kevin and told us they would be back in 5. Then the door slammed and the car took off. We all looked at each other and none of us looked happy.

We stormed back into Pop's and as we sat Arch asked "Why is that ass still with them? Why was Betty on him?"

Sweet Pea shook his head and said "He's not good enough for her! We know nothing about him."

Toni pouted and asked "Are C and V together now?"

And Fangs said "I hope Kevin is ok" with a worried look in his eye.

I have a million questions but all I can do is grab the table in a death grip and ask "Why are they so tired and what were they doing so late last night?" We sat there in silence until the car pulled back in. This time none of left our seats. We watched as Kevin and V and C all got out of the car, tugging each other out the door and laughing.

Then we watched as that guy crawled out, smiling. He then turned and took Betty's hand to help her. I watched as he picked her up and spun her around. Then that guy had the nerve to hold MY Betts close and whisper in her ear. She nodded and then leaned in and KISSED HIM!!! He whispered to her again and she turned around, blushing. They start walking across the lot, arm in arm.

All I see is red and I started to jump up but Toni pushed me back down.

"Do you really want us to start a fight in the middle of the Northside at 5:30 and in front of Betty?" she asked quietly. She's right, no good will come out of it and all it will do is upset Betts and possibly get my crew in trouble. I look over at Arch and he is seething, the rage is coming off him in waves. Betty and that guy catch up with Kevin, Veronica and Cheryl and they all walk in together.
