It had been a couple weeks since the punishment and I think Blake went crazy. I handed her back her books and she threw them at me. Then she stopped sleeping. Everybody is worried about her. And on top of that, Coco still hasn't come back. Not that it bothers Silver. She hasn't turned back into a human. I think she is worried that I won't like her as a human. I haven't talked to her about it and I don't think she wants to. But on to the topic on hand. I was in fighting class pretending to be paying attention. But I was looking at Emerald and Mercury. Well Pyrrha beat team CRDL.

Goodwitch: And that's the match.

Cardin: Lucky shot.

Cardin collapsed.

Goodwitch: Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, professor.

Goodwitch: Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match.

Goodwitch looked around at the observing students.

Goodwitch: Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna?

Blake slammed her book shut and stared wide-eyed at Glynda.

Goodwitch: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -

Mercury raised his hand.

Mercury: I'll do it.

Glynda: Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.

Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight... her.

Mercury pointed to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: Me?

Glynda: I'm afraid Miss Nikos has just finished the match. I recommend you choose another partner.

Pyrrha: No, it's fine! I'd be happy to oblige.

Mercury struted into the arena, visibly sizing up Pyrrha. Their spar began when he made the first attack and was knocked down. Recovering quickly, he deflected an attack and begins trading blows with Pyrrha until she knocked him back with her shield.

Ruby turned toward Emerald.

Ruby: Hey, your friend's doing pretty good.

Emerald gave a fake smile and then rolled her eyes as Ruby turned her back.

Mercury unleashed a series of powerful strikes. Pyrrha allowed his kick to slam against her forearm before Mercury managed to disarm, a kick impaling her blade into the ground. Pyrrha used her Semblance to redirect the direction of Mercury's next kick. As she charged him with her shield, he shot off of it and turns his back to her. Pyrrha tried to rush him again.

Mercury: I forfeit.

Pyrrha almost stumbled as she stopped beside him.

Pyrrha: You... don't even want to try?

Mercury: What's the point? You're a world-renowned fighter. We're obviously leagues apart.
