Chapter 14: Getting Closer

Jennie's POV

Doyoung, Sally and Joy have their own things to take care and disappear in front of me but I'm pretty sure Doyoung is watching me right now with his ability, it's not something that surprises me.

Walking in the hallways alone with no destination in mind but a place where I know I can relax and get away with anything in the moment.

"Oh, look...guess who's here?"

I didn't even bother to look because I know who was it, that high pitch voice will never go unfamiliar to me, I didn't bother to throw attention to her, I wasn't in the mood for to day. I woke up in blank thus marking my whole day blank too, my morning mood will always define my day.

I could feel her disbelief look painted in her eyes as she look at me as I ignore her, the next thing I knew was she was blocking my way.

"Where are you do you think you're going?" I looked in front and saw Hyebin and Soyee, I just look at them with a blank expression.

"What I'm thinking," I said and was about to get away from them. I'm not scared, I'm not in the mood to deal with them.

"You still have the guts to answer?" Hyebin asked.

I rolled my eyes, "Just not to make you stupid."

I could hear chuckles around us and laughs being refrained but I just ignore it and just walk away from them. I heard her sighed in irritation before holding my wrist, preventing me to stop and look at her again.

"I'm not done with you!" anger is visible in her eyes, she was holding my wrist hard and honestly, it hurts but I'm an expert in hiding my real expression in my face.

"Just what do you want?" I asked in an uninterested tone.

"You know what? You've been really annoying ever since your first day...and it's really irritates me everytime I see your face."

"Then let go,"

She scoffed in disbelief and tightened her grip in my wrist. Honestly I didn't expect that she would be this strong to inflect pain in me, "And why the hell would I do that?"

"You just said that I make you irritated everytime you see me, wouldn't be better to just let me go than to hold me close?" I asked uninterestedly as I try to hide my true expression.

I heard laughter being muffled and of course that didn't go unnoticed by Hyebin and glared at me, as if blaming me because she became a laughing stock because of my fault. But I could careless after all it's visible to everyone around us and knows that she, herself is to blame for being a laughing stock. She might have taught that she can manipulate me in the way she want huh? Well, unfortunately for you my friend but I'm not normal human and not a normal human deity either, I am someone who stands higher before you and doesn't have the normal thinking capacity of that of a normal human and human deity.

"Being sarcastic with me, huh!?" anger is visible in her voice.

"Unfortunatel but I'm not..." I said and secretly concentrated air in the line between her hand and wrist and for her to prevent her from noticing, the moment I released that concentration is the same time I pulled my hand off her. "It's fact, no normal person would want to see someone whom she/he sees as an enemy close to them much more to see them in front of them."

"And you dare to lecture me!? Who do you think you are to defy a Lee?"

Now, I'm really losing my interest, like seriously.

"Know your place orphan!"

I honestly started to pity her, she's doing this up to this length to put me down and humiliate me, she doesn't care if she get dirtied in the process because she knows that if I act in the way she expected me to, them I'll be dirtied more times than her and she could clean her name for that. I could just act accordingly to what she wanted but...who does she think she is to manipulate me in the way she wants? There's no way I'll do it, besides it's not like my real identity could be blowed out just because of my ignorance to a member of the Lee family? I'm just going in the way I want to.
