Chapter 19: The Song Engraved in Birth

"Nakamoto Yuta is not a bad person," Sakura started. "I think I'll start from that." The princess had just enough sleep, rest and food and she's now ready to tell what happened in Japan. "The Nakastate protected us from the UFG without us even knowing. Yuta-nii and my brother were best buddies and I was also close to Hina-chan. Yuta-nii did everything to protect us and even was willing to sacrifice the whole reputation of Nakastate to free us from deity hunting. We thought that we are going to be free but UFG had better plans. The Nakastate weren't informed anything about the collection of artilleries from all over the world from countries who are part of the UFG. Of course, this information backfired everything because if the heir of the leading family group won't do his job to end the deity hunting and quit and further more let the human deities live then the whole country will be at cause."

"So, the merchant ships that travelled to Japan before the annihilation started wasn't just for human deities but the whole country?" Seohyun asked in disbelief. She can't believe that she was right and UFG's aggressiveness towards annihilation of all human deities.

"Yes. But of course, that time we didn't know about it because we were so happy that we are going to be free from the threat and we won't live in fear anymore. We were so busy to ourselves that we didn't think about what will happen if that was done." Sakura as she reminiscent when all of her kind in was so happy that they will be free soon but that happiness was immediately turned to a blood bath. "We were caught off-guard when agents of n[s] system started to rain bullets towards us, killing others instantly, those who dodged the bullets weren't in the mercy of the agents who were waiting for them and cut off their lives instantly. None of us were able to feel our abilities back then and for the very first time we felt like humans who are helpless in a middle of a war. My brother did his best to saved me and the others, to keep us safe before going to Yuta-nii who leaded the war, and confronted him. I made sure that those who survived in my kind are safe before I run to my brother to help him but when I arrived, he was already leaning in Yuta-nii's shoulder, blood dripping in his stomach and then finally collapsed in front of him. In Yuta-nii hands lies a knife full of blood and I know it wasn't just my brother's blood that was there, there are many and all of them were bloods from human deities I know. I was so scared when Yuta-nii landed his attention to me but instead of killing me he run away and I didn't know what happened next."

Sakura vividly remembers the time when that happened in each scenario and even memorized who died first to the last. It was all red and she couldn't do anything but to just watch her own kind be killed in her very presence. It's very painful memory for her to reminisce but it was needed alright.

"We were betrayed and full of hatred, we wanted to kill everyone but that all washed out when I read a letter that my brother had left behind," Sakura said. "I don't have the letter with me right now because it was dangerous for me to keep it so I burned it after I read it."

"A letter from your brother?" Taehyung asked and then thought of something. "Wait, does this mean that your brother already saw what will happen next?"

Sakura nodded, "My brother's ability was precognition but in an advance level wherein he knows what will happen next vividly but he can never spoil it to anyone straightly or never changed it because the flow will gradually change for more devastating event, all he can do was drop hints."

"What was inside the letter?" Taehyung asked.

"He told me that he knew that it will happen and apologize to everyone who's alive and me for giving us a very painful memory," Sakura said. "He then told me to go to South Korea because he said that the final battle will be held in here and I need to warn you guys that it will be here because that will be the deciding battle that will end the conflict human deities and normal humans."
