CHAPTER 18- My life is unfair

Lacey's P.O.V.

First day of the week, Monday. The most hated day. I headed to my school earlier than I usually do. I sat on my usual spot just looked at the window waiting for everyone to come.

My got eyes focus on a certain someone. It was Winwin walking in alone without his friends. He's early too probably to make an unfinished homework.

His eyes caught mine, he gave me a smile and waved at me. I did the same and he walked off after. I played my phone for a while just to get away the boredom.

"hey" I heard. I turn my head to my right and saw Winwin.

"hey, good morning."

"you're early today,"

"yeah it was unintentionally." I said. "what about you?"

"preparing for something."

"what is it?"

"for the basketball game."

"you're going to play today?"

"yeah all of us, it's sports festival today and for the whole week."

"really?"

"hm, are you going to join something?"

"nah... I'm too weak for that"

"liar, you're just lazy" I chuckled at him. "I'll go to my room now, see ya" he said and left.

Everyone started coming and filling up the room. When it's already time for the first subject, the teacher finally came and started teaching.

I yawned after our third subject teacher came out of the room. It was finally time for lunch, I fixed my things and head out to the cafeteria.

I stand in the center and look for table to seat. My shoulders jerked up when I felt someone put their hand around me. I look up and almost blushed to see Minghao's face close to mine. I quickly look away to hide my face.

"which sport are you joining?" he asked.

"n-nothing, I'm not really used to playing."

"I wonder if you'll be good."

"yeah... Same here" I said remove his arm and walk to the counter to buy foods.

"hey wait up."

Minghao invited me to seat with his friends, I just agreed because I don't know how to refuse to him. I almost regret saying yes because of how girls look at me like I'm doing something wrong.

"you're quiet Lacey" Hoshi said.

"oh, just thinking about something"

"are you going to join any sport?" Jun asked.

"nah... I'm not a good player" I said. "what about you?"

"we're all gonna play basketball."

"ah... That suits you all. Winwin said they're gonna join basketball too."

"I wonder if they will become our opponent" Wonwoo said.

"oh please don't say that."

"Why?"

"I wouldn't know who to cheer if you guys fight each other, I don't want to be biased."

"that's nice" Jeonghan said.

"nah... It's just you guys are all my friends"

"What time will we try out hyung?" Dino asked.
